i finally actually bothered to play through HL and actually complete it...

the last time i played up to some part in Xen... i got frustrated with it...

what is weird is HL seemed ALOT different last time... seemed like there was more "headcrabs jumping out of dark corners" ...

oh well... so... what games have you had for a long time but never actually got around to finishing

I still have not beaten KotOR. I got to the final boss, but for some reason, never got around to beating the game.

I've never beat MotS or HL:Opposing Force without cheating. I might have cheated on Dark Forces too. And I used an exploit to kill Jerec at the end of JK.

Sheesh, I never realized I was such a cheater! I did finish them though...

I've played many games, but there are many I haven't played totally....

Hitman 2, X-Wing comes to my mind ATM.

I recently cracked out Perfect Dark and beat it on Agent mode. Then I had fun with the combat simulator.

As for other games I own but never completed, it really depends on how complete one means. For instance, in the above example, there's still Secret and Perfect Agent mode, as well as unlocking their secrets and stuff. Don't plan to do that anytime soon though.

I never could beat the last level of Dark Forces. I kept getting lost.

HL, because Xen was one of the worst set of levels I've ever played, and FarCry because the level right after the main boss is the *other* worst level I've ever played in any game.

I count both of these as massive dissapointments, since both games were incredibly brilliant at times. Why on earth did they both end so horribly weakly?

I'm only now just playing through diablo 2. I got to the 3rd chapter and quit. I just got LOD though, so I plan on finishing through C6 now.

Starcraft. I love RTS but I suck at them [http://forums.massassi.net/html/frown.gif]
Hitman 2. Way difficult, and I'm not willing to put so much time into a single level (some were way difficult). I'll play through it when I get a laptop.
Morrowind. I never played through the main story in the game or any of the expansions. I get caught up in side story and character leveling, then I get bored and restart a new character 3 months later.

Actually, I have a hard time finishing most games because I'm really ADD. Not really, I just get bored easily heh.

I have a bunch of games I never played to the end,

Normaly for me I'll play a game till I beat the SP, But if the Game has a really Bad annoying (BS) spot, it can make me loss the will to play the game, even after I git past it.

There is one game I simply refuse to try to beat; Rune. That game is so freaking long and so freaking BORING that I can't even get half way through it without losing complete interest in the game. It is so repeatitive... slashing monsters with axes and swords over and over and over.... ARG!!! Anyhow, I have Windows XP now and I here the game doesn't work on that OS so I have no worries about ever getting tempted to play it again since I can't (unless a patch came out to fix it - I hope not!)

That and Baldur's Gate 2: Throne of Bhaal. i still have my save files hanging around from about two reformats ago. Oh, and Diablo II. i really, really need to finish that. got to Act III and am massively powerful, but when i reformated i ever reinstalled, although i backed up my save files.

My assassin in DII: LoD ruled. Until I got to Act 4: Diablo fight. My assassin could have kicked his red, burning butt all the way back to the 7th level of hell, but my framerate was a photo album. I was getting one frame every 5 or 6 seconds.

I managed to beat him. I got him stuck in a corner (clipping error, IIRC) and he couldn't get out. He was stuck! So I kept throwing traps that shot at him, and he eventually died.

Really cheap, I know. But with 5 frames a second.. not much you can do.

I've only completed one game (without cheat codes), ever. That was Vice City. It was the only game that actually made me want to keep playing.

that cutscene had to have had the worst acting out of all of them, and they were all pretty bad.

I just finally beat Outlaws all the way through on Ugly without cheats... That game came out a long time ago haha.

I have a couple more I havent beat... Pirates of the Carribean, X-Wing Alliance, Vice City, GTA3, Rogue Spear...

But I did beat JK, MotS, and JO so... ya.
