If you hover your mouse over it, it still displays your postcount....

Hmm.. this happened after the php worm wiped everything out... dont know why it would happen again now though.

Postcounts == irrelavant. Also it would diminish # of/elimate those "OMG 1000 posts!!11"

Not really, we've always had OMG1k POASSTS threads, even before the hex. I like it because it's A. unique and B. convenient for checking post count

The templates havent been modified at all... its a problem with the actual code again.

I fixed it. Someone uploaded an out of date script to the server that overwrote the changes which added the hex post count. I fortunately had a backup though, which I uploaded to the server.

Counting as you are used to it:
1 - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5 - 6 - 7 - 8 - 9 - 10
Hex:
1 - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5 - 6 - 7 - 8 - 9 - 10 - A - B - C - D - E - F

Hexadecimal, on the other hand, is a base-16 number system.
