Just a few seconds of screen time in Fahrenheit 9/11 brought a nomination as worst supporting actress for Britney Spears, who sits for a moment blank-faced and chewing gum in the film before saying she thinks people should support the president in all decisions he makes.

It's funny, but dumb seeing as it's not acting.

I'd consider it acting as she was probably paid to say that.

The concept of the Razzies is pretty dumb anyway.

My respect of her actually went up when I saw that.

Because I'm sure it cost whomever more to pay her to do that than you make in a year. Tools = respect

Well, because if she was being truthful, she's far more intelligent than I thought her to be.

I don't see the correlation between accepting something without question and intelligence. Now, I'm not saying people should never agree with Bush. If you think everything he says is dead-on, great. But thinking that just because he's the President...I thought everyone was supposed to be equal here, or something.

I didn't see it that way. I figured she just said it poorly. I'm guessing she agree's with Bush and supports (or supported) his policy. Assuming she does then I respect her more than I did before. That's all. Now, if she does just mindlessly support the "President" then that sucks. Unless my guy is president then it's still cool!

Then you should respect her less for not being able to accurately articulate her ideas! Hehe.

Sadly Britney's line was probably the most intellectual of the whole movie.

Vin Diesel nominated for his role in Chronicles of Riddick? Pfft, that was a good movie, and he was good in it! And I noticed that The Day After Tomorrow didn't seem to get any nominations. Something is very wrong with that.

Vin Diesel is never good.

Bah, no one gives him enough credit, just because of movies like Fast and the Furious, and XXX. He's had some good roles (Riddick, Knockaround Guys, Saving Private Ryan). He's not the best, but for a young actor, he's not bad either.

I totally agree. I couldn't stand his roles in XXX or F&F, but as riddick, in knockaround guys, saving private ryan and Boiler Room I thought he played a good role.

Honestly, I consider him the next arnold but with better acting skills.

Wise words. Like I said, if she meant something like that and would say the same regardless of the issue that one thing. If she said what she did because she agrees with the president, that's another. I'm assuming the latter but don't really care too much about it. You have to remember that my respecting her more really just equates to slightly above nothing.

Chronicles of Riddick and Saving Private Ryan. Pitch Black too.

A lot of really funny movies were nominated (anchorman, dodgeball, etc). I dunno..the Razzies seem to get worse every year.
