When I first started out on the Zone way back in the day, I was "OBrien_4". After that, when I started editing JK, I worked under the name "RGB465", which is a combination of my initials and a few numbers which mean . .well . . they don't mean much of anything anymore.
Then I quit the JK editing community. I got a job. Life was great. I built myself a new computer and got back in the community. I was still editing under "RGB465", but I wasn't doing much so it didn't matter.

Then I got canned. I was left with a hand built, top of the line system, and all the time in the world.

The job I was working at the time, the one that I lost, was where I got this name. I was a sales associate selling pools. There was a POS terminal system in the store that we used for everything from inventory control to timekeeping... It was a classic IBM setup with an AS/400 mainframe at main office, token ring networking cable running everywhere, nasty amber-black monochrome monitors with 75-pound IBM keyboards, etc. We all had these 3 digit user codes that we used to log into our proprietary retail software. I always assumed that 'gbk' was randomly generated by that software, but recently I realized that it may be a mangling of my initials and last name. Ill probably never know, but it suppose it doesn't matter.

Anyway, I used the code regularly; every time I needed to use the POS system, I had to put in my username. Hundreds of times a day for months.

When I was canned, I decided to join Massassi. When the script asked me for a username, I instinctively typed 'gbk'. I said why not and changed it to all caps.

When Massassi upgraded to the new forums, I asked one of the admins to change it to lower-case. And here we are....
And when the moment is right, I'm gonna fly a kite.

Back in high school, I wrote a lot of story ideas down (when I wasn't programming). Most of my ideas were for a long storyline which involved a macaw (a type of parrot) and another character. The macaw was really a human male placed into macaw form by a magical curse. The man's name was Zeq (pronounced 'zek'), and when he was transformed back to human form, he was called Zeq Macaw.

I did not use a space in my username because I wasn't sure spaces were valid. It also seems appropriate to not have the space; it is as if I assigned myself to the variable, ZeqMacaw.

While I played Golden Sun for GBA, I liked the name "Sol" so I used it. :)

Achelois doesn't really mean much to me, I just needed a name. Achelois is a minor Greek goddess, and apparently is the moon goddess of pain relief.

I might as well have made my username Aspirin...

Somehow Aspirin doesn't sound quite as catchy.

Maybe it's just me.

...Take a wild guess....

really, it's not that hard.

Actually when I was registering, I was putting in names that I thought would work, but they all were taken, so just for kicks I put 'Stormtrooper' in thinking it would be taken too, but it wasn't, so I stuck with it and it's become my main screen name for everything I use. It's either that, Stormie, or JediTrooper.

I've been waiting for one of these for along times.

Ok, back in the day I used to be a pretty avid Star Wars Galaxies player.
Now, before the first CH nerf, I was a creature handler.
I was pretty adamnt about it, and then it was pretty freaking fun.
Yeah.
Anyways, one day my friends discover a wonderful creature.
It is called the Grand Wrix.
I set out to capture this wonderful creature, and low and behold almost as I am about to tame it a mob spawns on top of me. Not just anymob, a mob of grand wrixs all aggroed on me.
I consider it a coincidence and head back to try again.
But, wonders upon wonders, the server crashes.
I go 'okkk...'
As soon as the server comes up I try again, and due to a mishap or somthing, the wrix's attack me.
This continues on for exactly three more tries.
At the third try i'm litteraly cussing at the computer.
I die again, yell at the computer, and get off.
Later, I joined this weird little community named 'The Massassi Temple' because I had been a lurker for a good four years now. This was all in 2003.
I chose Stinkywrix, the wrix part because of the Grand Wrix's, and The Stinky part because out of five tries, I could not get a wrix.
There's also another story between my WoW friends and I about how I still want my goddamned gurrecks.
Different story though.

Let me tell you ladies a story....

hundreds of years ago in scotland (1200), there lived a clan on the island of skye off of west scotland called "Ruthven".

They werent very powerful, and supported the highland red shin warriors, though to be fair we got used as human shields.

We fought the English and low land scots (scum!!) and 90% of us got killed in battle or captured and beheaded.

To make matters worse, the survivors of the clan built their castle on a FRIGGIN URANIUM DEPOSIT!!!. (no lie tis true)
So again, 90% died out from men becoming infertile. (But at the time they believed it to be a curse)

The survivors of Ruthven blended with the stronger "Harris" clan....

The Harris clan became the McSwans, and in 1964 one McSawn gave birth to a beautiful blue eyed blonde haired lady called Lynne, who married a Davies, and had a boy called Aaron.

the end. :cool:

(ps, my name is clan ruthervain cos I mispelt it :( )

  do other babe}
else{
  do a dude}

I am into skateboarding. A trick that I always wanted to accomplish but I still didn't succeed, is the "Pogo air" wich is like a the trick "Pogo" in wich you take your skateboard and imitate a Pogo Stick. Pogo air is making a Pogo in the air. One day, I shall succeed it.

Also, I like Pogo's.:p

I was tired of going by Gandalf the Grey or Kyle Katarn, and I needed an original screen-name and didn't want to do something like put down my name with numbers after it. Then in a sudden fleeting flash of genius, Obi_Kwiet was born. It was going to be Obi_Quiet, but I changed it to Kwiet at the suggestion of one of my family members.

EDIT: Whoa, this is that old thread. I thought this was a new thread. I posted the exact same thing a page back then. I wondered how the thread got so big so quickly.

Before I played JK on the Zone, I actually played Age of Empires. I was 1337. I was a known expert. Tons of people knew me. Then my computer blew up and I didn't play for 6 months, causing me to lose all skill and knowledge of the game. I came back, and everyone forgot me, and my clan had split. My name back then was TgM_Flame_gOd (I think I played JK for a while with that name). After a while, I knew that having an AoE name on JK was pretty lame, so I dug up one of my favorites. At the time, I had about 23 different names to choose from. Final was once a clan, but it only lasted a day. I thought it was a pretty cool name, so I chose it. That's basically it.
Very funny Scotty. Now beam down my clothes.
