The development of a brand new Castlevania game, going under the ambiguous title of "Curse of Darkness", was announced not too long ago.

I deeply love the Castlevania franchise, so hopefully this can recapture some of the sweet, sweet gameplay and level design that was in Symphony of the Night but was partly lost in Lament of Innocence.

they could then make a sequel to THIS game and call it 'Army of Darkness'... think of the possibilities.

I used to love the Castlevania series, but there's only so many times that you can kill Dracula, or have a clock tower level before it gets insanely boring.

While Castlevania has had a reputation of being a bit vapid plotwise, they've been changing around the whole "kill Dracula for the millionth time" thing with the newer games, like Aria of Sorrow and its sequel for Nintendo DS, which lack Dracula.

I do agree about the clock tower, though. I've always wondered why they needed so many gears for a clock.
