I'm glad, even though it isn't what I voted for. Now that I've heard more about it, I think Guild Wars is going to be the next best thing since sliced ham.

This thing is made by the people who developed BattleNet for Blizzard. If it plays like D2 with prettier graphics I will be extatic. I hope I can preorder and get to play the next beta weekend.

I play Diablo II on a daily basis... so this would be a natural progression. :)

The engine looks nice, and the models and textures are well done, but it still looks like the tackiest of pop fantasy art.

No actually I didn't. I just posted a review a couple weeks ago.

And I would play this game--if there weren't tons of other, better uses for my money. The game seriously isn't anything but a more expansive D2, and while that was fun, the world in Guild Wars is just too limiting for me. It feels like a collection of levels instead of an all-encompassing world.

Well I mean Diablo II has been out since 2000, so it's been 5 years and the game is still going strong. Hopefully GW will do the same.
