I was curious how the new LOTW level played, so I downloaded and tried it out. But I am befuddled. I am stuck in one position in this HOMed filled room with annoying beeping sounds. Then it crashed miserably. If I was high on something, maybe I would have enjoyed it. But I'm not.

Is there something more to this level? And, if not, how on earth did it Level of the Week based on votes?

I'll write it out for you:

"Levels of the week are chosen based on votes. Find your favorite level and click the LotW Vote link!"

DSettahr doesn't do this, unless he's been playing with the code for it, which I doubt.

Probably a clan level that the lamers decided to all vote for. Shame too. You'd think they'd have better things to do.

There are plenty of decent levels out there that haven't been voted on. Like HaVen.

Maybe set up a Staff Pick system. Like at pcgamemods.

The problem with the voting system is that no one is involved, so three or four votes from a clan can win them LotW. I say, if you don't care enough to vote, then you don't truly care about LotW anyway.

That's what we had before, but it never got updated, so we switched to a vote system.

I think it would be better nowadays if we had the staff do it. The staff didn't do it before because it was a pain in the ***. With the scripting, it would be trivial to prompt the staff (in the administrator login) for a level ID and just generate the level ID based on that.

Ideally, we'd get more people and more new levels coming in
