That's right folks! Its official! Ensemble Studios has officially announced Age of Empires III

oops. in my excitement, i forgot about the hotlinking.

The game apparently uses a heavily overhauled version of the BANG engine used for Age of Empires II (as well as the God-awful game we all came to loath as Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds)

I'm kind of disappointed that it's not medieval though.. I liked AoE II: Age of Kings the best. The original AoE was just a bit too caveman for me.

I'm going to miss getting attacked by tents of doom, little men pushing shopping trolleys, tre****ets, WA Salvage armies and those blooody elephants
