I remember them showing that on TechTV before that channel started sucking, but I'd never use it. It's eyecandy that would eventually become useless.

Total eyecandy. It would drive me insane. Watching the videos, you can see the guy spends more time arranging the windows to his liking than he does actually working.

I just tried it. It's rubbish. You can't even use the windows when they're in "3D" mode, it snaps back to 2D before being usable. Sun's 3D desktop looked a lot better.

My first impressions- This is going to make my desktop more disorganized than it already is (an entire sphere makes it easy to lose things)

The setup is annoying... instant messages dont seem to work correctly in it, and I cant get browsing to work right either. ANNND the image quality sucks.

Yeah, it does look kinda pointless. I reckon it would lose its appeal for me after the first 15 minutes. :/

Er.. you can't do anything to windows when they are in 3d mode. It is totally pointless.

So basically it's a taskbar with screenshots from each of the programs that takes up the whole background. I can see a use for it like when graphic editing and I've got a bunch of stuff open, but it does look like it's mostly eye candy.

eh, youll probably want to avoid that too...
the only window switcher I really like is Expose`, but I cant find a decent windows version of it
