Along with all the men who have put their life on the line for our country, I wanted to bring to the attention of those who do not know, Pat Tillman, and Ex-NFL Star who put down a 9 Million dollar contract to serve our nation in Iraq.

Don't get me wrong...I believe he is a hero and gave the ultimate sacrifice...

But I don't feel that just because he gave up a huge money contract means he should be plastered all over the news.

What about all the other soldiers who gave up their FAMILIES, and everything about their life that that knew...

To me, family > money.

My post is to not take away from his sacrifice, it's really incredible what he gave up to fight for the US.

My rant is more on the media posting him everywhere as a hero for going to war instead of taking money, when every soldier over there made a sacrifice when they decided to go.

I understand that, but leave your sputting to another thread. And as I said at the top, this is too everyone, not just him, but him doing what he did is something to look at.

Yes, there are really no words good enough for people that choose to give their own lives up for another.

It must be very serious about serving the country to turn down a contract like that.

His story epitomized what makes all of these brave souls heroes. I remember when he turned down the contract and enlisted. I remember when he graduated Ranger School. And I will remember the day he paid the ultimate price for his fellow citizens.

God bless the fallen.
