I watched the trailer. It looks pretty funny to me. I might actually go see that.

Didn't King also come up with the Kingdom Hospital series? Those were pretty good. Odd, but good.

I keep seeing The Grudge advertised everywhere on the internet, the DVD cover is almost exactly the same as the original Japanese version of The Ring (The Grudge itself is a remake of an Asian film). The whole thing pretty much sums up Hollywood right now.

Yes the new trend of stupid horror movies that basically copy the creepy stuff that the Ring had. Such bull****. Grudge is awful. Absolutly crappy.

Also, they all seem to have creepy children in them.

When did those crappy horror movies with the girls with the black, stringy hair start? Over the past two years we've seen:

Ringu
The Ring
The Grudge
Hide and Seek
The Ring 2
etc.

The American remakes are awful, but the Japanese originals are cult classics. Ringu is great, but the sequels and prequel are an aquired taste and you'll probably only enjoy them if you really loved Ringu.

When did Hollywood actually turned good or turned bad? Doesn't Hollywood, most of the time, had it share of good and bad movies?...

You are right, but it seems to be the lesser efforts that strive to be the best known, no wonder it gets such a reputation.
