...can you sit as still as possible while looking at nothing of interest? I'm not talking about lying down on a couch and watching TV, but like sitting on a chair and holding one position while trying to hold back any motion.

Short while ago, I had to pose as a model (...with clothes on, of course...) for about 45 minutes while the other students observed me for their figure drawing. This unfortunate position is rotated throughout the student body of that art class, so I was not really in shape for this job. Just sitting there doing nothing seriously annoyed the hell out of me. Thus, trying to control the body not to move at all is no simple mental task. I've seen people who do this easily over long periods, while other people can't stand to stay in one spot for a few minutes. Oh, thoughts?

I can't really sit still for long periods of time when I'm focused on something.

Depends on the day. A lot of people joke I could be one of those living statues because I don't move that often. But somedays I just have to bounce about! (but these days are rare...)

Sit me in front of a computer, load up HL2, and I'll move nothing but my hands for the next five hours.

i tend to go off into my own little world when I stand still for too long, usually a daydream involving a woman.... so the resulting trouser movement would be embarassing if I had to stand as a model :confused:
Code:
if(getThingFlags(source) & 0x8){
  do her}
elseif(getThingFlags(source) & 0x4){
  do other babe}
else{
  do a dude}

I have the ability to sleep sitting up, but only in school for some reason, so I know I can stay in the same sitting position for at least 35 minutes.

I'm quite fidgety so I imagine attempting to stay motionless for extended periods of time would be pretty difficult for me.

Yeah, it's not everyone thats crotch area turns concave when they're turned on.

As far as I go.. I can do it for as long as I want. It's easy, because my head is a fairly interesting place filled with interesting places to go, and people too.

I sit and zone off for hours all the time, all I need is my imagination and I'm fine until someone tries to talk to me, which is bothersome of course.

That's unhealthy. But it seems to be a common practice in today's world. *shrug*

I've been able to meditate for hours at a time, but I rarely get the chance, especially here at school.

Well if you were able to sit that still i havve to give you credit because the only time i can really really sit still is when im sleeping and its only a matter of time before my leg jerks or my arm hits something plus on top of that im very hyper any way so its like a mission for me to sit still at times if i try or im occupied with something such as tv or video games then i guess i can sit still for a little while.

We're not all qualified/able to "think," some of us have videogames for a reason...

Nice. I've got the average beat by 2 to 4 inches then.

But, if you want to keep them fresh, store them in a cool, damp place.

What are you talking about?

If you're takling about what I think you're talking about, then I'm 0 to 2 inches above average.

That's a good yield, then. It's best to keep them fresh, since they're stronger that way.

When I worked as a lifeguard, I had a few 1.5 hour and fewer 2 hour sits. I made it through them without much trouble, though I wasn't exactly doing nothing.
