Well, they are quite painful. I've had two, of course the second time the stupid dentist didn't give me freezing.

I've had a root canal, and honestly it didn't hurt that much. It was mostly just uncomfortable holding my mouth open for a long amount of time. It was sore afterwards, but it's really not that bad.

And I'm not just lying to make you feel better.

I heard horror stories from my dad. He had one a few years ago, and since he was still with the military, he had to go to them for it. The incompetent buggers screwed up and didn't freeze his mouth properly. He said it was none too pleasant.

Just got back from the dentist. The root canal actually wasn't that bad - the operation that is. I was prescribed some pills to take to relieve any pain that'll occur after the procedure for the next two weeks. I was also given a temporary crown for now until I get the permanent one in two weeks. I hope those pills do their job because during the time I left the dentist to the time I finally got home and took the pills, my teeth have been quite sore. Anyway, I'm fine now so ya'll don't have to worry about me pushing up the daisies :D

BTW... as for the poll results, you guys are punks * :(

Amoxicillin and Ibuprofen. I have to take 3 pills of each a day (Ibuprofen is optional - only used when needed).
