how do you create a forum.
I want one for my site and i tryed many different things but i cant pay anything.

on a less serious note, you cant create your own forum here if that's what you're asking. the forums with people's names on them are for admins and such, not us lowly "members".

A. Unless you get 100+ hits a day, dont bother.

B. I don't know of any free hosting sites that allow you to have forums for free.

C. Any you do will probably be overladen with ads, thus meaning no visitors.

http://www.proboards.com/index.html is not bad at all. That's what I use. In some ways they are more sophisticated forums than Massassi's in terms of glowing, scrolloing text, picture and link buttons already built in, plus avatars. You can even add a news banner that flashed in and out with updates. There is just one main banner add, which isn't too distracting and no pop-ups. Works for me.

I was actually considering buying a forum for my website a few months ago, until I stumbled across the PHPBB forum. It's free. You can completely customize the colors/icons (here's mine, as an example).

Only thing is, you have to have a host with MySQL and PHP support.

Yeah, that's what I use. The problem is, most all free hosting services don't have PHP, and especially not MySQL.
