This is wow, simply wow. Awesome buggy physics like in Halo, deformable terrain like in red faction and it plays brilliant. This is just a technical demo and its not a full game, but its already so much fun plus they provide the whole source :):

Well, it's nothing revolutionary, but it's pretty neat. The car was nearly impossible to control though.

Wow. I think I'm going to plow through this code, and see what he's doing...because things like this don't pop up every day.

Primitive? Yeah. But it's free...and we'll see just how easy it is to mess with. :)

I tried to compile his code, its giving me a ton of errors about missing .h files :(

You need to put it all in a project I'd assume. :p

Yeah, i opened the project file. I tried to compile all the .cpp and .h files together that were in the project file.

Wow, excellent. It will be very interesting to look at the code. May be primitive, but it's got shadows and LOD.

Check the readme and install any depencies that are needed before trying to compile.

I just took a look at the terrain deformation code, and damn is it ugly. I'm not sure you'd want to use this as a role model for good coding practices. :p

I noticed those, the new ones aren't as fun ;). They're just to show off the size of the maps but don't have movable objects or a gun that can deform terrain.
