Really, are you people that desperate for something to sit on that you'll sit in a queue(sp?) for God knows how many hours, then, when things don't go right, go ape **** and lay siege to the poor store and it's employees??!!

*DISCLAIMER* I know anyone is capable of doing this. I was just teasing our UK members.

I had no idea we were getting a new IKEA...

but anyway, it's their own fault. £45 for a sofa if you buy between midnight and 4am? That's asking for a stampede.

I saw this on the news earlier... looked like chaos.

They really were offering stupid prices.

On the news they said that the trouble started with a few customers jumping the que.

I'm ashamed that I'm considered to be the same species as these people. Rioting over furniture? I mean, come on. If you're going to riot, at least do it for a worthy cause. Or better yet, behave like civilized human beings and stage a peaceful protest. No need for violence.

Anyone else thinking of Family Guy here? You know, when Peter, Chris, Brian and Stewie are sitting around in suits and top hats, drinking tea? What the Griffin house would be like if it were more sophisticated? Yeah.

I would've gone down there, just to see it. We have furniture, kind of.

The pencils at IKEA are the best, my friend has started selling them, he stole about 80.
