I was watching an ABC Primetime show about "John of God," a man named João who claims that he has miraculous healing (like so many others..). Site.
I believe that it is wrong to attract terminally-ill or sick patients to travel to the remote village of Abadiania, Brazil to face his "invisible surgery" (which actually involves small surgery, even when he is not a doctor.) Sigh. He uses his "King Solomon" powers with his patients and charges no fee. But, of course, he has a gift shop and owns a large ranch. Madness. But I guess some hope is better than no hope for desperate people with illness. Yet, lies are lies. *shrug*
