Oreo's arent Vanilla!

Haha...ok so we hardly have candy or ice cream around the house because a lot of us have a sweet tooth for candy and/or goodies.

So I open the cabinet today and to my suprise I see Oreo's. If you knew how huge this is. There havent been Oreo cookies in our cabinets for YEARS...I repeat YEARS.

My eyes began to twinkle as I reached for the bag "thank god!" I thought, "there's chocolate in the house! I loveeee Oreo's" and then I looked at the wrapping "Golden Oreo's"

 WHATTTT! Nooooo! Oreo's arent Vanilla! Im so annoyed. Instead of my beloved chocolate outside with the filling in the middle I've got two vanilla cookies...imposters...stamped with the Oreo logo!

I tried them, they are alright...but I want my beloved original Oreo's! What a tease, I havent had them in forever, and when I finally do get them...they are "Golden" *le sigh*

Dagnabit!

Anyways I think they shouldnt mess with Oreo's, it's like selling Chips Ahoy without chocolate chips, it just doesnt make sense.

Am I alone here?

Anyways, any thoughts on all these new/not so new forms of Oreos? The double filling, the chocolate coating...the Golden ones? What ever happened to Just plain Oreo's...why change a good thing?

Edit: To clarify I miss my chocolate cookies with filling...I dont like this new vanilla cookie with regular icing...chocolate icing...perhaps, but no chocolate what so ever...that's just wrong! lol

The vanilla oreos with the chocolate cream are better when dipped in milk than regular oreos.
Think while it's still legal.

I like the double-filling oreos. Twice the calories in half the cookies!

But no vanilla? THEY WENT TOO FAR!

Well they still have original oreos so why not? It's not like they only sell golden oreos now. So ya..

Hey, they may not be chocolate, but don't snub those golden oreos; they're delicious. Try freezing a few, it's great.

I like the golden oreos better then the originals. :p The ones covered in white chocolate are the best though.

But you know, its not like you couldn't go out and buy a package of oreos if your really wanting some orignals.
Life is beautiful.

It looks like every country has a brand of cookies that looks exactly the same, like your Oreos... Almost as if that is the best form cookie evolution can produce.

My dad is the warehouse manager for Nabisco here in Orlando, so you can send all complaints about Golden Oreos straight to him. It's his fault they got shipped to your store right?!

By the way, I still haven't tried those things yet. They look really good. Course, I love vanilla and don't much care for regular Oreo's anyway.

P.S. an Oreo commercial just came on. IT'S A SIGN!!

I don't like this brand of cookie. I once had this pumpkin cookie on Hallowe'en. It was amazing,

I actually like the different kinds of Oreos. I adore the mint ones, the double stuff the chocolate dipped (actually I haven't tried those yet), and even the golden ones. I know what you're talking about, I have a huge weakness for chocolate, but those golden oreos are pretty damn good, I must say. I do understand your predicamen though.

Me: I have no idea
Fincham: I meant where are you sitting. This wasn't an existential question.

Has anyone tried the FUDGE covered Oreos? I gained about 5 pounds because of those little buggers.

Oreos are good, but nothing beats Scottish shortbread(I think that's what they are called....).

I've had Oreos before, when me sister brought 'em back from America. They don't even start to compare to Jaffa Cakes.
