You realise that those replacement cords are able to report back to Microsoft if your XBox has been chipped, right?

(Well, that's what we trying to convince one of the guys in my office anyway :D)

Its simple; a modded XBox pulls 0.012 more amps than the non-modded version. This extra current causes the temperature of the cord to elevate slightly above the known norm, and it triggers a small thermal sensor inside the power adapter. This, in turn, signals the XBox to call out to MS.

Read about that yesterday evening. Mine isn't included, which is nice, my friend's might be though... We'd have to check his manufacturing date. Even if it is though... he hasn't had any problems with it in the several years he's had it, so I doubt he'd bother.
