So, I went to the Association for Computing Machinary meeting at my school the other day, and all I have to say is..wow. Once the first person started talking, I immediatley thought of this place. Kids fighting over the best surge protector to use for their LAN party....LinuxINSTALL fest where they install linux for free....Thursday night Impossible Problem Solving Code gathering...Bashing all the new members because none of them had FreeBDS [edit - I can see where this may have come as an insult. Wasn't thinking, wasnt intended.] I went cause I am a Comp Engineering major and I needed more technical club stuff, and it seemed fun...and to an extent some of the material was interesting..but too much bickering over..stuff..especially video games. If my sugre protector from Walmart isnt good enough, I guess I just dont belong.

Was there a token black kid who kept pestering and harassing everyone, and fishing for a hate crime behind the backs of the administrators so that the kids who reacted to him ended up getting kicked out?

So, I am guessing jedikirby and dj yoshi are either embarrassed or insulted of the fact that when I think of linux and lan parties I relate it to the one online gaming community that I particpate in.. OOOOOOK.

I guess to make this a thread. What would you picture Massassi like if you were given on room, and a bunch of tables, on computer and a microphone?

Well considering most of your post wasn't spoken in a very positive tone, and that you personally said "you didn't belong" implying that you were better than us then yeah, I would take offense to it.

I really don't see how this is funny.

That is what I said. If you had a funny bone, you would actually at least pick up my dull sense of humor in it. If you feel that I am better then you though, cause obviously I said something arrogant, cocky, or down right egotisical, then please, sir continue. How come every post I make turns into this. I cant start one topic that won't get closed. Geez.

I always pictured Massassi as one of those saloons from old Western movies. At first everybody's just sitting back, relaxing after a hard day of...whatever...and then someone stirs up some trouble. The next thing you know, everyone is beating each other sensless with furniture, until the Sherrif (Brian) comes in and shoots a few rounds into the crowd. Everyone (being miraculously unscathed), calms down, goes home, and waits for the next night, so they can do the same damn thing again.
