i think it's been a while since the last one so i'll start off with a few of my favorites

Requiem: Avenging Angel
Messiah
Aquanox 1 and 2
Anachronox
Omikron: The Nomad Soul
Battle Engine Aquila
Armed and Dangerous
Ballance

and we can't forget the most unerrated games ever... Halo 1&2 *ducks*

Shadow Warrior
Duke Nukem Manhattan Project
Star Control 2

Hm, I'd still like to play Requiem and Anachronox. By what I saw/remember from them, they seemed to rock. Too bad I haven't seen them in shops for years. Oh, and get Star Control 2.

I so wanted to like Aquanox, because Archimedean Dynasty did rock, but man alive....that control was just unbearable...

But hm...underrated. Anyone ever play an early-pentium-era 3d game called "Time Commando?" I remember my friends and I really enjoyed that one, but I never hear anything about it.

None of these will probably ever get a sequel because no one bought them.

The Neverhood
The Last Express
Anachronox
Beyond Good & Evil
Crimson Skies
Sacrifice
If it breaks, you get to keep both pieces.

Time Commando is awesome. I had a copy, but I think it ended up getting sold/given to the Salvation Army when we moved.

Uh... as for games other than some of those already listed, I'm just going to give one since I need sleep. It's also another of the games that got sold/given away.

I'm not a current-gen console owner, but it's still nice to see that. Ah well.

I was really partial to both Syndicate and Cannon Fodder.
Hey, Blue? I'm loving the things you do. From the very first time, the fight you fight for will always be mine.

I love crimson skies! It's one of my favourite games! (oh so cheesy!)

Funny, I've just bought Discworld Noir, which was severely underrated - and I agree with Mr Genk about Shogo (I looked for it today in my local 2nd hand games shop!).

Carmageddon 2 - I just reinstalled it, it's a pain in the arse to get running under XP, but worth the hassle. :)

G-Police - It wasn't just a showcase for 3DFX, it was also very very awesome!

I bought Startopia (for £3) on a recommendation from one of these threads and still haven't installed it... I might do that later!

Startopia is incredibly awesome.

And although it's not obscure or necasarilly underrated, still think NOLF and NOLF2 are the best FPSs of all time.

Yes.

Also, Anachronox was good. I never finished it, though. I should reinstall it.

Yeah, heh, I remember playing that. It actually feels like it was '76 when I last saw it. What was it again your friend said when you shot his car?

I actually just finished playing Indiana Jones and the last crusade again. Genuine youth sentiment. I didn't know the clues to what the real grail was, so I had to go through them all, watching the horrible death sequences I was so afraid of when I was younger.

God.... come back point n click adventure games.

Those games are fun. Did anyone happen to play Star Trek 25th Anniversary? Funnest point and click game I have. I've actually got a few of them...Including one put out by Seirra. Anyone heard of Torran's Passage? (sp?)
Very funny Scotty. Now beam down my clothes.

Yep! I read excellent reviews of the game, and saw a rolling (non interactive) demo of it. It looked awesome, but it never became the hit it deserved to be I think. He had an animal sidekick who could change form at will, right? I need an axe! Not an X, an AXE

Talking about Sierra, 3 words: Space - Quest - SIX! YEAH BABY! Funniest game possible (together with the monkey island series, debatable)!!!

That was FAR from obscure, or underrated. I saw at least 3 GLOWING reviews of it on g4techtv (X-Play and Judgement Day, both of which I deem fairly decent review shows).

Anyways...Cave Story for the PC.

Google it. It's free.

Cannon Fodder.

If anyone's played it, do you know where I can get a copy of that song it plays while opening? It was like "Kill me with your gun" or something...
