Well, I'm not usually one to complain, or spoil people's day... but at least let me try for once.
As a recent new thing of my evening, I decided to go on #massassi in IRC. good. We talked about stuff, had fun. Until.
A user I'm not going to mention names about, found it funny to laugh at the fact my mum had cancer. It was literally something along the lines of "hahaha your mum has cancer".

I don't find it funny when people might die. especially loved ones.

So, maybe injustly I said "F you.". Now wrong as that may be, surely you could see that it's unfair to say something so cruel as laughing at someone's misfortune, especially on such an emotional subject as cancer.

I got banned, and banned for LONGER because I appealed through a friend. Now the other guy did get banned too, probably for a while aswell, but don't you feel that's unfair?

I don't usually start flaming someone like that, but maybe you can see why I said that, how I was provoked, I'm feeling pretty bad today now. I had a bad day, I took it out on someone and now I'm having an even worse day.

Whoever laughed at that should get PERMA-BANNED on the forums and the chat. Then perma-banned from LIFE. I think it's rather stupid that you got banned. It's like putting the guy that killed Hitler in jail for murder. (I know Hitler wasn't murdered...I was just making a point)

I'd be happier with an apology and no bans in the first place. I understand I shouldn't swear in IRC and I'm sorry for that but some things seem deserved at the time, and laughing at my mum's chance of death was not something I appreciate, at all. Laughing at anyone's death is not my idea of a joke.

And I'm banned for longer because I told a friend to see if he could appeal and unban me. Sounds great, I'm banned for longer too because I didn't WANT banned. Where's the logic in that?

Listen, Im sorry for your loss, but you broke a rule so you were kickbanned. It was what? 5 minutes before you started to appeal to be unbanned? If you had waited you were going to be unbanned.

You're unbanned now and a number of people in the chat dislike me now because of what I did. (which was do my job)

Oxy- next time you have a problem with a ban just PM the op who kicked you. The ban will be resolved much easier that way.

Oxyonagon, the problem is that (from my understanding of the situation), you got someone else to go into #massassi for you, and ask for you to be unbanned. You could have just contacted one of the ops via pm and explained the situation yourself. There was a lack of communication somewhat and I apologize for that. The other guy has also been dealt with.

As a result of this we are banning everyone from the chat and permanently dismantling both the forums and chat.
