Remember all those classics such as Commander Keen, Doom, Bio Menace, Duke Nukem, Cosmo, Zone 66...?

Well now you can download them, for free! Isn't it great fun to have a look back at some of the classics that everyone loved, and still love today?

I hope you know none of those games first came on CD.

PC emulators > DOSbox, if you have DOS/Windows9x to install on it.

There's also a MS-DOS 7.10 that's been separated from Windows 98 that you can install on a PC emulator. It's free for download, a quick google will find it.

Make a small 64MB partition and install DOS on it. Then just boot to that with a disk when you want to DOS it up.

DOSbox has the advantage of having a very effecting CPU cycle scaling system...some games that are frame based you can get to run well. Ones that are time based you can run fine under DOS, if of course you can get hardware support working for all your advanced hardware. DOSbox emulates any hardware no problem.

Knew about it for a LONG time. A lot of these are quite illigal. I managed to scrounge up the full versions of X-Com and such. As amazing as that is, I'm surprised you can post that on massassi. Now that I have an XP box, looks like I'm getting Jazz Jackrabbit and actually managing it to PLAY PROPERLY.

Heh. Yeah, many come in a hacked form. The cracker team's original readme still included, if memory serves :p

I wish they'd go all out illegal and let me download Empire II: Art of war. Here I am stuck with the original (Not that I'm complaining of course)
