Okay, so this guy out of nowhere who I used to know pops up and asks me if I know how to install PHPNuke and such.

I told him I did, my brain is mush, etc etc, and its been ages since I messed with web stuff, I told him I'd see if anyone I knew who could do this was on.

Nobody, Ged was, but he has an english test due tomorrow, or something like that.

Anyways, Heres the guys contact info, I'd owe you bigtime if you could help this guy out, I feel so incredibly guilty for not being able to. So please give it a try if you know anything about installing PHPNuke.

Um, look, no offense...I'm all for helping people...but did he try the manual? The PHPNuke site? The PHPNuke forums? A few years ago I installed it to try it out (didn't like it), and I figured out how by reading the directions. Anyway, you shouldn't feel guilty for not knowing how to help him.

I have no idea what it is, but it's probably no more complex than CHMOD'ing a few files, making MySQL tables, etc.

Can't see how stuff like that can ever be hard.

It can be *really* hard if he doesnt have shell access or SQL permissions...

Actually.. Although I haven't used it myself I believe it has an install script which sets up the database for you and even chmods all the files if your server allows it.
