Alright, four days ago, almost all of the winter snow had melted. It was 50 degrees outside, and my friend was complaning that we never got to take the snowmobile out this year. Winter was over.

Four days later there's a blizzard and school is cancelled. Gotta love Michigan weather.

So far I'm dissapointed with Rochester's weather. Either it's an off year or the people up here are pussies. Cleveland frequently has it much worse...this year was particularly bad.

Some school systems cancel with an inch or two of snow. My school system never cancelled school short of a complete snow in.

Boston never cancelled for snow. :(

Actually, once we had a cold day. It was ridiculously cold out and the system decided that it would just be too expensive to heat everything so they closed all the schools. (They also gave some reason about it being to cold to wait for the bus or walk to school, but pheh!)

It was like seven inches, and it came in all right before school, so they never had time to plow it. It really only matters if it snows the few hours before school because that's when they plow all of it.

I don't have school today because it's President's Day. I didn't have school Friday either because it was it was a "Continuing Education" day for teachers.

It's Presidents Day. If you're in America, you should have school off already.

Not if you go to University of Missouri-Columbia.

And count what little snow days you have as blessings. In college, it'll take a Hell of a lot of snow (i.e., enough to close roads to the extent that the faculty can't get here) to cancel school. Mizzou has cancelled twice in its history, I think.

Are you kidding? We haven't had a snow day in the last 7 years! Last time I ever missed school because of weather was ice storm '98, and that time they only closed down because it was life threatening to go outside.

I didn't get class off for President's day. :(

As for snow, we only got an inch maybe anyways. That didn't keep everyone but me from skipping class this morning! It was funny, although there were only 3 other people in the class. Partly because the prof skipped the last two classes himself hehe.

I hate President's Day. Because the high schools got the day off, the amount of tour groups around campus tripled. There were way too many people in the way around campus and in the dining halls.

SEVEN.

INCHES.

Wow, you must be in deep snow then. Heh. It snowed a foot and a half last night. Did school get canceled? Hell no.

I got a snow day last year back home in Sept-Iles, though. :p I'm glad I wasn't here for the ice storm.

Most of the schools in my county (Asheville, North Carolina) get school off sometimes even if it doesn't snow!
