More Games for the Series?

I was wondering...whats the public opinion here about the possibility of more Dark Forces (JK, JO, etc.) games?
This topic has probably been discussed a lot before, but I'm new here so I havent seen it. Personally, I didnt think JA was that great but then again, that was on Xbox and I never got a chance to play multiplayer. From most of the ratings I saw, JA didnt get THAT good of a score, around 8.5 or so.
Because of this, it seems like JA might be the end of the series. Or have they announced a new one already? What does everyone think?

Let's move from JA to Republic Commando. Yay for Unreal Engine.

Republic Commando is part of the Dark Forces series? I don't think so. What I'm wondering here is whether there will be more JK type saber fighting games, you know.

I hope not. I don't see any real direction for the Jedi Knight series to go.

Yeah...I think they've pretty much used up all of the good ideas for that particular series.

Btw...is JA still worth buying? I was told that my XP couldnt play it, but now a friend of mine says that all I need to fix it is a patch.

Republic Commando is okay... I'd feel a lot better about it if I could feel some kind of connection with the weapons. It seems so much like your someone playing the game instead of like you're IN the game. :\

Slow moving blaster bolts are terrible...it takes away from the feeling of lethality. So does the sissy high pitch blaster sound. Just running those through the bass boost in Goldwave once or twice would make the sound feel like a gun shooting and not a cheap toy.

If you know how to edit the game when it comes out, it won't be a problem anymore.

If a game sucks to begin with, modding will never catch on. I'm not saying it sucks, I haven't tried it. I was only making a statement about Star Wars blasters in general. Although KotOR did a good job with them.

I think it depends on it's editing capabilities. And Unreal-based games have been pretty great when it comes to editing, this far.

Oh well, we'll see what happens.

From what I remember, Daikatana was pretty editable. Daikatana could be the most editable game ever...but no one would touch it with a fourty foot pole. Of course Republic Commando is not like that at all, but you see my point.

Daikatana didn't use the Unreal engine.

And yes, I see your point.

Erm, where did I say it did? It was Quake based.
