Has anyone found a way to turn on the Realistic saber like in JO? I've tried lots of things and the closest I get is a response like this: "g_sabermorerealistic is write protected."

Saberrealisticcombat is only for JO. It's not even a real variable in JA. I know it has something to do with g_dismemberment and g_sabermorerealistic and stuff. Has anyone gotten this to work? If so, I'd like to hear how you do it.

P. S. Does it only work half the time if you do get it right? I wouldn've thought it's a 100% prob that you dismember if it's on.

Alright, heres how to do it.


In your Jaconfig add a line for g_sabermorerealistic 3

then cg_dismemberment 9999 and g_dismemberment 9999


once done, save. make the cfg file WRITE PROTECTED. JA will try to turn it back off.

once done, start a game up.

Don't expect instant results, it doesn't work 24/7 in every level, with some, they fall apart like legos hit by a bat. with others, nothing happens.


for the most part they fall apart like a hot knife through butter.


By the way, I recommend using this setting for melee mod, super violent and very fun.
