I really don't care about the discussion, I just wanted to beat everyone else to it. And I did, so HAH!!!! :p

Anyways, post what you want to win/ your hopes/your gripes/your aggrivation at your winners not winning/etc

Personally I'm only watching for 2 reasons. Chris Rock, and Tupac: Resurrection being nominated for best documentary. Those are the only parts I'll really be watching.

Really lousy bunch of movies nominated this year. Sideways is the only half-decent best movie pick, and even then there was heaps better than that last year.

The Incredibles was awesome, and I hope it beats Shrek 2 to all it can. Shrek was funny, but just not original and compelling enough to match Pixar imo.

Return of the King is gonna sweep the awards this year

I wanna see some big-shot Hollywood leftie start spewing forth his agenda(s). Those are always good entertainment.

"Haha! Mr(s). Celebrity is trying to make themselves sound important!"

I give this post a 6 on the cynicism meter.

The oscars lose more and more credibility every year that John Williams doesn't win. I mean, come on! Finding neverland? WTF? At least The village should've won. What a load of bull.
The music industry is a cruel and shallow money trench where thieves and pimps run free, and good men die like dogs. There's also a negative side.

The singing of that Polar express song by Beyonce and that guy was amazing.

Shame beyonce's singing talent is wasted on features in certain other artists' bad "music".

Alright I was bummed when Kate Winslet didnt win best supporting actress in Eternal Sunshine but I was happy when it got the best script.

I feel Jaime deserved best actor, Leo will have to wait for another year.

Sean Penn was a little uptight, even I like Jude Law, Chris Rock was just playing, I mean he even joked on himself.

Best movie being million dollar baby shocked me. I havent seen it, but I thought it'd be between Ray, and The Aviator. woulda been happy if either won.

Was happy that song won, and I feel Martin Scorcesse needs to be given an Oscar already.

Also on that note, I'm glad Morgan Freeman finally got an Oscar. Beyonce performed wayyyyy too much

Jake Gyllenhaal was gorgeous as always. NOthing better then Donnie Darko/ Bubble Boy at the Oscars lol and I forgot what else I was gonna say. Overall decent show, cant wait till next year :D

Whoah, did any of you guys notice Dustin Hoffman at the end there? He looked stoned or something - he must have missed his cue about three times, and his voice was droning and his eyes were wandering, not to mention he was swaying. :p

Why was beyonce in practically every freaking performance?
She has one purpose: Eye candy, and she was not serving it.

That's not true. For a pop diva, she is actually a very decent singer. Josh Grobin is just as good as well. I thought the two were perfect for their duet. Also, what the heck do you mean she wasn't serving as eye candy? Just because her boobs weren't popping out of her dress doesn't make her any less attractive. I thought her relatively modest appearance made her all the more appealing.

Thanks... I'm relieved I didn't just imagine all of 2004.

Are you kidding? He may have used to be good, but pretty much all his music in the past 20 years has been exactly the same, with a few exceptions. Every time I see a movie in which he did the music, I think "Hmm, reminds me of Star Wars."

It's true she has a good voice, but I really hate how she sluts herself up in music videos to... get attention? Modest girls are the hottest girls.

Yes, I appreciate she isn't too "modest" in music videos, I just meant that she seemed perfectly reasonable during the Oscars. I'm sorry for not clarifying.

What pisses me off is the fact that my movie got louder and more cheers from the audience and yet still lost....Damn academy. They snub so many good films.

I think Jamie Foxx's award is going to his head. He did a little cry when accepting it, and instantly he was able to talk clearly without distress. Obviously he was fake crying. That pisses me off. He got the #$@* award, he doesn't need to act anymore.

John Williams is overrated. I was hoping Sideways would be nominated, I really liked the music in that. The others also had good music.

I don't think he was faking anything. You've never seen that happen to people?

I was happy that Sideways got best screenplay from another source, because I LOVE that movie. And I'm also glad that ESOTSM won best original screenplay, because it obviously deserved it.

I think Paul Giamatti should have been nominated for best actor. I love him.

Oh, and I found Santana's guitar playing annoying in the song Antonio Banderas sang. It was distracting. He should have stuck with rhythm guitar, the only rhythm guitar was down in the orchestra pit.
