A question about slaughterhouses

What do they do with the blood? When they kill the cows, they drain most of the blood... but what do they do with it? I assume they use it somehow, seeing as it would be an incredible waste.

I looked on google, but I wasn't even sure how to phrase it. Looked on wiki, but same problem.

Thanks!

Thats gotta be a really interesting conversation

"Mom, thise guy from the US on this internet forum based on a game released a decade ago were wondering what happens to the blood when you kill the cows"

first thing my mom said was 'blood pudding'. yikes! i thought she was joking. she said the blood can't hit the floor or it's no good for human consumption.
she works at maple leaf meats. they do pork at the plant she works at.

Ya the disgusting thing is that it's actually made mostly of blood.

It's used in processing foods, fertiliser, glue, fire extinguisher foam, pharmaceuticals, leather preperation, and pet/live stock feed.

Havent you ever played Soldier of Fortune? They pump it into drainage pipes beneath the slaughterhouse for mercenaries to sneak around in.
