Yeah, so it looks like I'm taking my girlfriend to the prom, I didn't really plan on it, but she wants to, and it should be a fun evening. So, I makes teh poll, and you vote in si teh poll.

I was a high school senior at one point and I did go to my prom. I didn't vote, however.

I don't know why I laugh so hard when you do that. You're so good at doing that. It's like the only thing I find funny ever on Massassi.

Anyway, I just wanted to vote. I haven't been a senior for a few years now. I never did go to prom though. Oh, and what about high school juniors? Don't they count?

I might be going, I'm thinking about asking a girl out to it.

I just voted for the hell of it.

Never did Prom. Never saw the point. Neither did the majority of my friends. We just had a party.

Where's the 'I'm in college, we have no prom" option.. :p
woot!

the only way i could go these days was if they were doing live music and i was in the band.... which is unlikely since the crappy bands they would pick i wouldn't EVER be in

Went to mine, or the corresponding thing that we have in Finland back when I was in high-school (A bit less free-form, on the year before you graduate. You take a three-month dance course that the school organizes where you learn all the compulsory dances like Waltzes, Tangos, and more. When at the dances you wear a tuxedo and white gloves while she wears a dress and elbow-length velvet gloves). She turned out not to the right person for me, but t'was fun for both of us for what it was worth. The Zorbas worked out as particularly memorable :)

I went to both my proms alone (had a bad habit of breaking up with my boyfriends right before prom,) but had an awesome time either way! ah...memories...

I went to neither of my proms, and saved well over $100.

I went to my 'prom' and drank well over $100 worth of alcohol. Alcohol I otherwise would have had to pay for myself ;)

Well, seeing as everyone was underage at a federally-funded high school, alcohol was not in a ready supply at our proms.

I went to both my Junior Prom, and my Senior Ball, and had an awesome time at both. I was one of those people who didnt see the point, but at the last minute before Junior Prom I changed my mind, asked a girl, and went. I think I eventually would've regretted not going.

Too white to dance.
2005-02-28, 7:19 AM #21
I have this great cartoon that I drew that would be perfect here, but my scanner isn't working.

It's about how I can't dance, especially to the music they play at the "good" dances.

And if you don't dance, it's no fun, so I probably won't go unless I miraculously end up in the same position as Mikus.

Ah. We had wine with dinner and then a well-stocked bar for the rest of the evening. Yay for 18+ drinking laws :D

I went to prom last year; it was fun. The after party is where it's at though.

No one will ever remember you if you don't go to the prom (like me). No one will ever remember you if you do go to the prom. The only way you'll be famous is if you bring another guy to the prom! Then they'll talk about you for ages.

i went to the prom... and had a blast... but that was after my date through up his outback dinner, and didnet want to dance, and was generally angry for spending money on me... wait i'm not bitter... anyway... thay actully filled up a kiddy pool adn put gold fish it, and made a gisibo area in the back of the cafeteria. it would have been really neet if it wasnet in the cafeteria and cost 25 per person to get in. oh but i had such a pretty dress...

[sorry for the rambling, i'm workgin on an english paper and need a brake from workign on good sentance structure and spelling; ignore me]
Laughing at my spelling herts my feelings. Well laughing is fine actully, but posting about it is not.

I'm a high school junior and I'm going to prom.

I don't know why.

whoa that sounds like a lot of fun actually.

I'm a senior, planning on going to prom, no date. but no worries, if I don't find a date (and I probably won't) I'll either grab a friend or go with a group of friends. probably grab a guy friend though.

though I got some offers in the other thread... ;)

nah, I'm really excited though. Really, just don't get a limo and it's not that expensive. well that and have each pay for thier own ticket (I'll end up paying for mine, even if I do get asked, it will most likely be as friends, and I wouldn't make a friend pay for my ticket, you know?) But the whole point of it is to get dressed up and have some fun, make some memories before you leave school. what's not to like?

I went last yr as a junior with my boyfriend, and it turned out to be a blast even though we both thought it would suck. This yr I'm going, but I have no idea if I am going w/ a bunch of girls, with the same guy I went last yr, or with another guy....choices choices.....:D

I didn't think I would go to my prom. Mother told me everyone would laugh at me, but then the cutest boy approached me and asked. I thought it must be a joke at first but he seemed sincere. The night was beautiful and everything was perfect! Even though I thought I was unpopular, I was somehow nominated for prom queen and won! Standing up there in front of everyone, holding my bouquet of flowers and wearing my crown, it was the happiest moment of my life. Then the bucket tipped.

Junior Prom:

I'm on the right.

And that was my date.

She had been spiteful and b****y all night long and in the midst of dinner, I was served before her, so I made a point of digging right in. My friend's gf said "How impolite! Shouldn't you wait for your date to be served?"

I looked over, fork in hand, and replied, "If she were acting like a lady, I would treat her like one."

Needless to say, she quieted up for the rest of the evening.

As for this year, I have several girls to choose from, and I hate choosing. :(
