Into airsoft! I am really happy that my parents are finally allowing me to purchase an airsoft gun. I am probably going to get a Tokyo Marui G3 SG-1 AEG from www.wgcshop.com . I know some Massassians play airsoft, and I would like to hear their opinions on the sport and guns. I am also really excited that I have found a group of people my age who all have airsoft guns that live really close to me, so that I will have some people to play with.

Go with the G3A3, but my opinion might be a little biased... it's only my favorite piece of weaponry ever.

It's a waste of money, time, and really, in the end, isn't worth the hundreds of dollars you'd spend on the guns.

That's not true. It's very expensive, but whenever you feel like stopping, just find an online forum and sell all your gear. As long as you keep everything in good condition you should have no trouble selling it at 75-85% the original price. Plus, your guns always make good showpieces.

As for the gun itself, well, there isn't really one AEG better than the other. Longer barrels mean more accuracy but they're harder to maneover in tight corners. Newer models are slightly better but there isn't much difference. SG-1 is a pretty good choice. My friend had one of those, and it performs pretty well. Though if you're only starting out I don't suggest you configure it as a sniper rifle. Trust me, sniping in airsoft is nothing like in videogames.

Also, be careful with the purchases. It gets really addictive. :p

Here's my gear:

AK47su Spetsnaz (AEG)
Desert Eagle V1 (NBB)
VF Shield face mask
Black South African LBV-88 tactical vest
Knee pads/shoulder pads
U.S. Woodland BDUs
2 FRS radios
Combat & Cold weather boots
Gloves (with no fingers)

I'm working on modifying my AK. Building my own red dot scope and field light.
The music industry is a cruel and shallow money trench where thieves and pimps run free, and good men die like dogs. There's also a negative side.
