a) I have my first full time job
b) I'm 20 today :D

a) Junior Network Engineer. Paying $35k Au a year, and I get a pay rise to $38k in a month (including super). Place is good, boss is great (we were doing a victory dance yesterday together cause we got something done).

I got that two months out of TAFE (kinda like uni), in the area I'm supposed to. And I only had one job before this: Packing boxes.

b) Im 20! My boss bought me a cake today, and then showed me into the boadroom where all 20 or so people of the company were waiting. Was really good.

So ya.

If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice.

$35k... what does that translate to $US?

Either way, that's damn good for only being 20. When I 20, i was doing s*** jobs on the side for minimum wage.

Nice! That's about 27.5k US for anyone asking. Not bad at all for a starting job. Good luck, and sounds like your working environment is the pwns :D

Oooh. £15k a year to start off? Pretty good. Normally you get stuck with crappy jobs that pay bugger all. Glad to see yer enjoying it.

And happy boifday, too.
Hey, Blue? I'm loving the things you do. From the very first time, the fight you fight for will always be mine.

I studied a diploma in Network Engineering, and an Advanced Diploma in E-Security.
Distinctions in both :D

You can graduate at 16, if you do it right.

And only 20k, GBK? I could've sworn sysadmins paid 30 or so... hrmm. May just be where I live (most industrial and technological area in AL, NASA, 3DLabs, Raytheon...so much here.)

I'm in the US and don't see how it would be possible to graduate when your sixteen. That would make you a sophmore in highschool, unless other parts of the country do things differently.
It took a while for you to find me; I was hiding in the lime tree.

You can graduate at the end of your sophomore year. Sometimes you may need night school and/or summer school, but you can do it. Trust me.

Congrats!

My mom graduated from high school when she was 16. It's rare, but it happens.

Unless I'm sorely mistaken (saber can correct me), compulsory education ends after 8th grade in Texas.

I think.
