I flipped on my tv yesterday, channel surfing, German WW2 uniforms, hooked.

Have to say this was an interesing look at the planning to implement the Final Solution. You dont really think about people sitting down and planning genocide out, and it was really an interesting depiction of the events. I'm assuming this is based on the SS tapes that the stenographer was taking down that Eichmann takes at the end of the film. Very good acting all around. I was surprised that the guy from Bridget Jones' Diary, the dude she hooks up with in the end... not that I've seen it..., was in it and performed so well.

If you're not offended by the actual premise, I'd suggest seeing it. I usually dont watch tv or get engrossed in movies, but this one grabbed me almost from the moment I turned it on. It was creepy.

I think people are generally more aware of nazi atrocities than american ones but it is a good idea to keep this thread on topic.

Then you've severely limited the shelf-life of this thread, because if people even have access to this movie, I'm not so sure we can or want to discuss the interesting points of planning genocide. Plus, if you're going to do some thing, you ought to do it well, and that means taking some time to communicate with your constituents about how you're going to do it.

it is amazing how so many people actually thought it over and then carried it out. planned for months and maybe even years before execution of the plan. it makes you realize what people are actually capable of. very dark.

earnst zundel was deported from canada last week and met with german authorities and was immediately arrested. hopefully they have laws that will shut him up and make him suffer.

I'd have to say that the worst in the 20th century was when Native American women were tricked into signing contracts to get hysterectomies after their first birth to help "control the population."
