I had to spend two years on my learner's permit. Now I have to spend another 2.5 years on my probationary licence then I have to fork out more money for my full licence. God bless the system!!!

I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

License (got in November),

1998 Ford Countour GL (with XM)

I pretty much drive everywhere, since my parents don't like to pick me up at places more than 10 minutes away. Plus, with all the late nights doing A/V for school plays, they aren't too keen on picking me up at midnight.

I have a car so that I can drive to my job, and I have a job so that I can pay for my car.

It's a vicious circle.

I don't have a car, so I don't drive all the time, but I drive a fair amount since my parents only live 15 minutes away.

I work an hour away from my house, my fiancee is around 4.5 - 5 hours away, and my friends are all at least an hour (most in another state), so I drive... ALOT.

A license but no car. I wouldn't have much use for a car currently, and so it wouldn't be worth the money invested, especially since a car is just a means of transportation to me; it would never be a hobby.

But a license is very good to have, nevertheless.

I drive to work (17 miles), to my friends (78 miles) and to the supermarket (500 meteres as the crow flies, 1.2 miles by road, we need another bridge :( )

Apart from that I walk.

I have a habbit of parking outside of the town centre and walking to save on parking charges.

Where I live parkings a nightmare so walkings always the best option if you dont mind hills.

I can drive.... not legally
nope.
2005-03-09, 12:53 PM #22
I have my permit, and I've fulfilled all my legal obligations. I just need to convince my dad I'm ready...

He's convinced as soon as I back out of the driveway alone I'm going to run into something, run over someone, explode, fall off a cliff, and then get sucked into an interdimensional temporal portal and never be seen again.

He does think I'm a good driver though.. so this is parental logic dominating over logic logic.

Well, considering most towns/cities in Kansas are usually at least twenty to thirty miles apart and have no form of long-distance public transportation, driving is pretty much the only option I have.

I own the Ford Fiesta's lesser known cousin, the Ford Festeva.

What's crazy, is people ACTUALLY make body kits for my car. Like the Fiber Glass side skirts and EVERYTHING.

Theres even instructions online on how to put a much larger engine in my car.

I think I might just Jay Leno it, and put a v8 in the back of it, like in his Ford Festeva.

Utterly destroying those kids with their honda civics in my car would be HILARIOUS.

I don't have my liscense yet. I'm just too lazy to go through the hassle. I know how to drive already...

In Maryland you have to, no matter what, go to driver's ed and drive something like 48 hours on your learners permit.

LAME.
