Question about the X-Wing
2005-03-09, 9:00 AM #1
Hi!
I have a question obout the X-Wing.
Is there some function to the little satalite like thingies on the tips of the wings' sticks? Or are they just decor?

i'm pretty sure thats where the "lasers" (or whatever they are called) are fired from....

I'm pretty sure that's just part of the laser array.
Hey, Blue? I'm loving the things you do. From the very first time, the fight you fight for will always be mine.

Au contrair. They're little blender blades. The rebels designed them on Hoth. When it's cold, just pull the end of the laser out, grab a cup and whip up a hot cocoa. The laser is used to heat the water up while the blender mixes the cocoa to frothy perfection.

I thought they were for stopping the front of the ship getting too smashed up if it hit a wall.

OK, another question.

Is there a ship editor to X-Wing Alliance?

You can make ships for XWA, but there is no specific XWA ship editor.

They're actually something the modeler thought looked cool, but this is the fictional explanation.

For Pete's sake, if Rogue Leader doesn't know, I sure as heck wouldn't want to be in his Squadron. ;)

Damn, they give a name for everything in the SW universe.

Is there a technical term for the windsheild and cupholders in the ships?

oh yeah ice cream scoops, cuz you know, they were all eating ice cream. they never used the ice cream scoops though. you would have thought they would eat a lot of ice cream on hoth

Umm, dunno about cupholders :p, but the term for the windshield is 'canopy'. Also, the flashback suppressors are there to keep a overpowered laser beam from coming back at you and vaporising a cannon barrel.

Yeah, I would have thought that'd be obvious... some people.

Oh... Was hoping I could make a round ship with 4 laser cannons and 4 laser turrets one could either link or not link. And maybe make some missions of my own.

But I've heard that there are Mods for the game, like being able to pilot one of the turrets on a Star Destroyer. How does one make one of those Mods?
