so.. my best friend... is in the hospital.

apparently his head felt numb, and they got him to the hospital and the only thing his parents told us is that he is bleeding from the brain, and we havent been able to get a hold of them after that. we made him a card and put it on his doorstep for his parents to see, and bring back to him when they come home. it was too late at night to go to the hospital. curfew was in like 10 minutes, but yeah. it's my other friend's birthday today, so we were at his party when we made the card and put a picture of all of us in it.

he's been my best friend since i came to this town in 6th grade and i dont even want to think about... yeah.

only good news that we can think of is that he was well enough to put "at the hospital" as his away message on aim... heh... it's so much like him to do that, if you knew him... yeah.

damnit. :(

Sorry to hear about that... Can't really say I've had quite the same happen to me. My hopes go out to both of you.

Yeah, it sucks when your best friend is in the hospital...

It's definitely hard to go and see them, but it's definitely something you should do if and/or when you get the opportunity. Should things not go too well, it's definitely something you might end up regretting if you don't.

And I think it's great you and some of your other friends made a card for him and/or his family. I'm sure they all appreciate the thought.

Best of luck to you, his family, and most importantly, him.

Best thoughts and wishes for him. Definately go see him. I know what it's like to be in the hospital and have your best friend not come see you :(

Again, best thoughts and wishes to both of you :)

ok great news. they sent him to a different hospotal last night after they did some scans, and i called the hospital up, got to his room and talked to his mom. he's in intensive care right now, but he's going to be moved to his own room this afternoon.

apparently you know those spider veins old people get in their legs? he had one on his brain and the swelling is what made his face go numb. they've given him some medicide to think the blood i think and they're doing an angeoplasty on monday. he should be home sometime next week.

Okay, there have been too many people going to the hospital lately. Noone is allowed to get sick anymore!

I'm glad to hear that your friend is gonna be fine.

I'm very sorry for this. If anything like that happened to any of my friends... I'd probably break down and cry. :(

I'm glad that the situation isn't too bad. I mean any time a friend goes into the hospital for an extended period of time it's not very good, but at least it doesn't sound like it's anything very serious, but then again I dont know much about these things, so I don't know.
2005-03-12, 10:29 PM #37
well im thinking its like how when if you touch a certain part of the brain, your leg twitches. like in those videos of brain surgery and stuff. so it expanded in the place that controlled his hand i guess cause it started to go numb? if it had expanded in the area that controlled a major life function like his heart or lungs, it could have been fatal for it to lose all feeling?

I'm praying for you and your friend. I don't really know what else to say or do...since I'm terrible at cheering people up...
Very funny Scotty. Now beam down my clothes.
