So I was thinking of doing this to my car..

http://www.fordfestiva.com/members/ChrisRummel/new_page_1.htm

I have an 89 Festiva L model. The L is for luxury. I mean, it has clothe seats, and AIR CONDITIONING... doesn't get more luxurious than that.

As well as that, there are all sorts of rice-like body kit stuff I can get for my car which I'm considering.

I want this sucker to be a rolling JOKE, however, a decently fast one. :)

I might forego all that, and just have a decent "sleeper," as the kids call it. I've always called the FastPOS... but thats just me.. :P

I found the same car in the junkyard about a mile from here, the guy doesn't want much for it... which is nice, it runs. :P

So... thoughts, anyone?

Oh, and heres the site for the rice-ey parts for my car.

These people apparently aren't too far away from me.

Just to let ya know, that engine swaps are a major pain in the ***. Even the uber-popular B16 swap for the Civic isn't easy.

I would die laughing if I saw a tricked out Festiva on the raod.
Pissed Off?

Hah, I've always wanted a sleeper.. but wouldn't an engine swap cost a considerable amount?
.

Meh, not anything OMG expensive.

I know they guy at the local Auto Junkyard. He might just give me the other car.

Really though, rolling joke. I'm going for it. :P

And yeah, it probably will be a pain to do. But the look on the faces of some people is going to be SO worth it.

Can you do a swap to turn it into this?

Brian, love that. i want one, can you buy them like that already? Or would you have to build it... :(
Sneaky sneaks. I'm actually a werewolf. Woof.

You should build a SHOgun.

I bet a festiva with that motor would really move, since a festiva weighs less than a ton.

Anything bigger than 4 cylinders I'd have to put in the back...

Which would of course be a HUGE pain in the ***.

Brian, is that a picture of one of those new Jeeps? The ones with four-wheel turn-on-a-dime capability and dual V-12 engines?

Yeah, it's not in production (and 99.9999999999999999999999999999% likely it won't with that configuration). It's really bad *** though isn't it? :)

HA.

YES.

I found the engine I need.

Minus the turbo, which is no problem. I can get a Turbo later.

Turbo kits ain't cheap. I hope the engine itself is already set up for a turbo, otherwise be prepared to spend a few thousand on a decent kit.

Why not, instead of doing all that, use the money you'd spend to get another, already quick car?

Yes. Turbo prepared.

It looked like someone had just ganked the turbo before I got there.

And really, as fast as this dinky little crud wagon is going to be... is going to be HILARIOUS.

Not to mention I'm going to do that whole fiber glass body kit crap. It's going to be a mad rolling joke. However, a FAST rolling joke.
