Echoman brings up a good point. What are the odds of having a camera ready to shoot, a bat splintering and going right for you, and having that good of a camera angle right when it happens? He must've had the shutter control on high when it happened, or else the bat would've been blurry in the photo. How do you plan on that?

im not tooooo sure... but if its a sporting event they have their camera set to take pictures faster... Like. the shutter opens very very fast, preventing blurring.

I probably butchered that alot... but im sure Ford would know how to explain alot better.

Photographers at games get great shots all the time. They are just always ready for anything and use TONS of film.

Photographers at sports events have some amazing camera equipment, especially when there's something moving as fast as a baseball. All the photographer would have to do is swing the camera in an arc pointing where the bat was travelling, and the mutliple photos per second the camera was taking would do the rest.
