...and somehow I am still alive. Thank Jim-Bob.

Post your favorite and least favorite comedians.

For me, Bill Cosby and Robin Williams, they are possibly the funniest people alive. I hate Dane Cook and Dave Chapelle, I just don't like their 'Obvious-High-School-Humor', if you know what I mean. I just think that Bill Cosby is funny without using any foul language, and his humor is just great. Robin Williams on the other hand is dirty as hell, but the way he can turn history and religion into such great humor amazes me. The reason I don't like Chapelle or Cook is because their comedy is just boring. You can see it coming from miles away. I mean they both have things that every once and a while will make me smile, but overall I just dislike them. :/*

Anyhow, post away!

*I am not saying that everyone has to agree with me by any means, just posting why I personally don't like them.

Damn, I saw some good comedians on Comedy Central, but I never caught their names. :(

I saw a show with Ron White (sp?) and I thought he was good. I don't really like Dave Chapelle's stand-up, but I like his TV show. Probably there are many other good comedians that were great in the past, but aren't well known now.

Peter Kay
Ricky Gervais (I'm not a fan of The Office though, I like his stand-up stuff)
Jack Dee

I should probably check out Robin Williams' stand-up stuff, i've always found him amusing.

Most favorite are Eddie Izzard, Lewis Black, and Bill Cosby.

Least favorite? Eh. No one really comes to mind. Maybe I need to watch more stand-up.

[ Edit ] MFalse reminded me - Larry the Cable Guy. Annoying voice, and unfunny stand-up. [ /Edit ]

I saw Lewis Black last year. "I AM SO ANGRY AT EVERYTHING! I MEAN WRAH BRWHWHAHRHHAA!". His opening act was much better. :(

my favorite comedian would have to be either Eddie Izzard, David Cross, or Dave Attell

least favorite . . . . I don't know, maybe "Larry the Cable Guy," becuase I can stand most of the comedy labled "Blue Collar" but he's just freaking annoying.

I think I nearly crapped myself laughing at robin williams' standup. Oh my god.

Same with chris rock's 2 standups. I could almost cry at some points, I was laughing so hard.

And I'm not even kidding, if anyone hasn't seen these 3 shows unedited, oh my god, you'll die. They're timeless, too.

Who's the porterican guy who talks about his father, and taking care of his little brother? And how his father tried to get him his first time with a whore. A fantastic standup that isn't only comedy, but it's emotional too.

Robin Williams, Dane Cook, Dave Chapelle, Lewis Black, Guy who used to do weekend update on SNL (Dave...something...can't remember his name now. Should be able to, but I can't [edit] dennis miller), Al Franken's written stuff is pretty funny.

There's tons that I like, but those are just a few.

It really does suck when your parents want to watch a movie that you want to watch alone... last night, I was watching Scary Movie, and my dad was watching it next to me... soooo awkward.
DO NOT WANT.

Agrees with Billy Conolly, Izzard, Dee, Gervais and all the other stalwarts mentioned.

Honorable mentions for Bill Bailey, and Ryan Stiles.

All AMAZING.

Robin Williams' standup is good, but I'm not a big fan of his acting.

How could I forget George Carlin? He is bloody brilliant.

George Carlin has an amazing ability to use vocabulary. Rowan Atkinson is a twisted individual, and hilarious for it. And why no mention of Eddie Murphy? Raw and Delirious were hilarious!

Probably because these days he wastes his time appearing in silly movies for children and dumb adults.
