Your Summer Plans
2005-03-18, 2:48 PM #1
What do you plan on doing this summer?

First, I want to do a lot of wakeboarding.
I need to buy a pickup truck.
Going to do a lot of work around the yard of my new house.
And of course, work.

- Giant LAN party to kick off the summer. There was about 35 people at last year's LAN, they're expecting 40 people this year.
- Recording lots and lots of music
- Gigging with my band
- Working to pay for school the following year (already have my job, $15.06/h :D)

Fun stuff. :D

Six Flags Darion Lake for 5 days. With friends.

Flordia at some point. With family.

Salut Sainte Marie to visit grandma and friends.

Camping up at the Soo (Possibly).

I can't really think of much more that I'm doing.

-Work.
-Go to the lakeside family country-place. Fish, swim, sauna, drink, eat, pick berries and edible mushrooms.
-Turn 20
-Biking, golfing poorly alongside dad and brother.
-Possibly take some courses or book-exams for Uni.
-Work permitting, and good line-up providing, go to the Roskilde festival 2005 with sister on a 24 hour train-ferry-bus-trip through Sweden down to Denmark with a bus-load of insane Swedish-speaking Finns from Nyland and Ă…land, and after five days of camping and fantastic music, repeat the same trip back with memories and new friends for the rest of my life.
If it breaks, you get to keep both pieces.

Thats only about half an hour or 45 minutes from RIT. Too bad I wont be here during the summer.

I'll be working at the same summer program for kids that I have the past 6 summers. I'll be teaching a caving course, and also be in charge of the maintenance crew for one session.

I probably will also continue working at the YMCA that hired me for the winter.

Hopefully I'll doing getting a lot of hiking and camping in both the Adirondacks and the Catskills. Probably will visit a few colleges as well to try and find a place to finish up my bachelors degree at.

I plan to do some work at the hospital in my town, and then I have to run an orientation up here over the summer to. My summers are always pretty much the same...work, play an unhealthy amount of D&D and Halo, and watch movies with my friend.

Working for my dad, and not much else, because he 'needs me' to work for him. In other words, he can force me to work for him and not be able to do anything else for the next week that I should have to relax, so he will.

I love how he's just destroyed any social life I try to have because he 'needs work done', then complains to me about how I never do anything for him.

Work, probably 60-70 hours a week.
Take some Internet Classes to catch up on credits
Party

It's gonna be pretty busy for me. If I won't be working, I'll probably be studying. If I'm not doing either one, I'll try to squeeze in some partying and hanging out with freinds.

Hopefully moving up to Tallahassee and finishing up my AA degree, then transferring to FSU. And lots of camping. And Halo.

I'll hopefully be getting a job, so I'll be doing that, partying, hanging out with friends, celebrating my 19th birthday with appropriate liquids, driving around like a lunatic (as guys my age are prone to do)... perhaps I'll get a girlfriend (this one didn't work last summer), maybe do a bit of traveling, some camping (even if it's out in my backyard), plenty of swimming, trips to the beach, LoTR/SW movie marathons, maybe a LAN party or two...

I really have no plan for the summer. Other than finding a job.

I've got a 6-week job at a Material's Science Laboratory in a complex that looks dangerously like Black Mesa. So yeah...

Set up my studio, practice my mixing, and hopefully be ready for handing out applications by fall.
The music industry is a cruel and shallow money trench where thieves and pimps run free, and good men die like dogs. There's also a negative side.
