Am I going to die from my daily migraines?
2005-03-20, 12:15 PM #1
i have a headache at least 5 times a week. i mean an all day headache taht lasts from morning until night.

Some tell me its the dehydration from drinking too much tea and not enough water, and also i have evidence that the slipped neck bone from an fight i got into is causing muscular problems also. And maybe its my vision?

It seems the more I sleep, the greater chance I wake up with a migraine and being sick.
Some days I dont have a headache, i'm just dizzy, unable to focus, and sometimes my head feels numb.

I usually fight my pain with muscle cream on the shoulders and neck and consume at least 10 painkillers a day. Right now I'm drinking water but it aint helping. the back of my eyes hurt like hell, moving them makes it worse

right now I feel like chopping my head off with a katana

:( :( :( :( :( :(

Anyone experience these things of which i speak?

They'll be mansecks for he/she who helps me

You realize this is nowhere near normal, right? Constant migrains are usually a sign of something more serious. I'd get to a doctor ASAP.

Here's a link you might want to read from WebMD: http://my.webmd.com/content/article/46/1826_50679.htm?z=1826_50698_6512_0000_00_10

It sounds like they recommend seeing a doctor ASAP.. especially since your headaches are accompanied by numbness and dizzyness. :\

You see! Tea is bad for you! Look, now he's dead on the ground with some weird purple lump leaking out his eyes.

Tea did that! TEA DID THAT!

Also remember that pressure on your sinuses can lead to increased pressure on the blood vessels that cause the migraine headaches.

I suffer from the same ailment, and find that when the weather changes, it's almost certain to make me feel like a sack of meat at Rocky Balboa's training center.

I'd suggest seeing a doctor, and if you're not on a perscription for Migraines, look into it. If it's actually a migraine headache, few, if any over the counter painkillers are going to solve all the symptoms. Excedrin is the best for me, and it may be helpful to you for pain relief, but the best idea is to get a professional opinion.

Best of luck, fellow chronic headacher.

Severe migrains like that are a sign of high blood pressure. My mom had similar symptoms years ago, and barely made it to a doctor in time. Her blood pressure was like 250/150 or something crazy like that. She avoided death within a window of a few days...you really need to go...now.

Christ, Ruthy. Just go sit in a draughty NHS emergency ward for a few hours.

I just want to point out, if it wasn't made clear already, that a migraine and a headache is NOT the same thing. A migraine is much more severe and does not just consisit of a simple pain in the head. It can lead to having blurrly vision, mild numbness in the hands and tingles along the skin, and sometimes lots of vomiting. For me, the symptoms of a migraine is very linear. It always starts out as a "visual migraine" in which a "water-mark" like blur starts in the center of my vision and spans out to the sides of my vision over a couple of minutes. It then proceeds into a massive numbing of the side of my head (right side usually) and then proceeds to where my hands are numb and I get tingling sensations in my skin. Sometimes it gets so bad that I start to vomit. As you can see, from these symptoms, its not even close to that of a regular headache. Its far worse.

I once got many headaches, 3 or 4 in a week and it turned out i had a lazy eye. I got some glasses and it went away.
(my brain was not using my left eye wich has 20/60 vision)
I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

I only get headaches when I haven't eaten in a long time.
2005-03-20, 7:14 PM #21
It's most certaintly not the dehydration thing. I drink so much tea and milk, it's coming out of my ears. I drink maybe one glass of water a day, if that. I rarely ever drink soda, though. It's something I really need to work on. The drinking more water, I mean.

Hope you get better though.
Very funny Scotty. Now beam down my clothes.

I don't know if it's me, but am I the only one that thinks that people are stupid for asking the opinions of some people he knows on the internet for medical help, instead of a professionaly trained and educated doctor?

For god's sake, go see a doctor. They KNOW what's wrong with you, whereas none of us here have a medical degree and can only assume what's wrong.

Definitely see a doctor. Ten painkillers a day is way too much; that can't be good for you in the long term.

Yeah, it's bad for your liver like CRAZY.

Which is why I'll probably die when I'm like 30.

I've ALWAYS had bad migraines... and I've gradually just become super immune to over the counter pain killers.

And I can't take aspirine, I'm alergic to it.

luckily I dont have a headache today.

last night I just started to act completely wasted whilst still in pain, and crashed out on my bed at 8 pm.

7am this morning, i wake up, feel fine.

Around midday I felt another headache coming, but took 2 painkillers, ate loads and drank water, and felt great.

So then I did weights for 5 hours (on and off).

I may try and see some sorta doctor soon, especially with a repeat of yesterday.

And now... back to the mod :D :D :D

Dude, that is usually an indication of a brain tumor. Go see a doctor quickly, we don't want to have to make two level packs. :(
