What game demos should I download?

Ok, nothing on this list: (which means I already have it, or am downloading it due to your suggestions) And, feel free to suggest older games if they rock. (and if you can post links that'd be cool, but if not don't worry about it)

Steam is the Valve way to get its software as well to play on line.

Steam is the content management program that Valve games use now.

It's sorta neat, and it's a GREAT idea... but it's pretty damned buggy and often decides to no longer like you and stop working.

lol I thought everyone knew what steam was. I remember pre release EVERYONE was talking about it. How it was going to revolutionize the gaming industry and stuff. This was all before its release, of course... :)

I suggest the demo of System Shock 2 also, if you havn't played that.
