Banks Power

The entire exhaust system in my Jeep is FUBAR - rust holes, cracks, broken hangers, etc. So, I finally got my holiday bonus for 2004 and the first thing I did was order a new stainless steel header, headpipe, and Monster exhaust from BanksPower.com. Check it out:

I need a new catalytic converter as well, but Banks doesn't sell one. I may go with a stainless one I found in quadratec, but I'm not sure yet.

Anyway, post your most recent vehicle modification -or- your next planned one.

That looks cool.

I'm planning on making my truck fly. Not sure how to accomplish this though.

I want to build a Warthog from Halo, that'd be amazing to drive around the place. :)

I think I need to replace one headlight on my car. But those bulbs aren't as cheap as I thought they would be. There isn't much one can do (I think) for a boring Volvo stationwagon. :(

My windshield got a big freaking crack in it last week. All the way across in not even a day, I even got to see the crack "move." :(

Ditto. That is my dream car. Complete with the Chaingun on the back. It wouldn't be the same without it. "Cut ME off will you?!"

You'd be surprised. Check out IPD for parts - they have a load of performance mods for Volvos. I am thinking about getting a sport exhaust system and getting some ECU programming redone on my 940 Turbo.

Well, apart from what I said in that PM, my long term plans include a slight lift and slightly larger tires, proper tow-hooks, and mirror-relocation brackets so I can take my doors/top off when I move down to Dallas. Also, a soft top so that I don't have to ask for help every time I need to take the top off. Nothing too nitty gritty.

My plans:

Hotshot headers
Hotshot intake
Stromung cat-back exhaust
50 or 75 shot of nitrous
Sleeved block
Increase displacement (maybe)
Forged internals (maybe low compression pistons)
Turbo kit with a huge intercooler
Electronic boost controller
A/F controller
Fuel management system
Turbo timer
Port and polish head
Possibly NISMO camshafts

Should get my Spec V well into the 400 hp range. Which means I'll probably need a new tranny, and definitely a new clutch and flywheel, probably new axle and LSD. Should be about $10k all finished. Only got about half of that saved up.

For teh Civic :D
I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

My good Lord that's a lot of money for a civic! WAY too much in my opinion. $30k for an economy car (hybrid, magical, or otherwise) is too much. Hope you like it enough for all that :)

edit: I just realized that's Canadian. It's highly likely that I've made an *** out of myself.

brian, just dump the cat. does WA have air pollution checking stations? you gain hp by dumping the cat (depending on how plugged it is). i'm going to rip mine off as soon as possible.

Get rid of the cat, and if you know someone who welds, take off the muffler, cut it open, gut it and weld it back up. Just put it back on with the weld facing the underside of your vehicle :)

I'm just getting a high-flow one. I already have a high-flow muffler, you can see right through it ;) Even if I lose a few HP I don't care, I don't think it's right to pollute excessively for no good reason. My cat was actually in pretty decent condition, but it's really old and restricts air flow too much by design.

Oh man, a header. Sweet. You should have just tossed the engine all together and put a Chevy 283 in it. You'd still get decent gas mileage and those things last forever.
