So I staert playing on the Jedi academy servers and I learn of a new word its called LAMING! And this laming is really fun so I go to the lugor mod RPG servers got kicked countless times just for killing someone who was stupid enough to have there saber down. But when I got on there most wanted list I just had to do something.

Yeah - "Laming" - properly playing an fps is one of 2 things that destroyed the jka community, that and Ja+ mod

I don't know about you guys, but I'd say spoiling people's "fun" is quite sad... how would you like it if someone spoiled your muck around time in a game?

Though I must say, RPGing in Jedi Academy is just too funny. :D

Generally it's when you do something that's against well-known server rules.

No matter how laughable you think role-playing is, going into a role-playing server and killing everyone is going to get you kicked. You deserved it.

When I played JO I enjoyed trying to get kicked from games, but I made sure I didn't break any server rules. If saber-off meant peace, then I didn't attack people with their saber off. Of course, the second they turned it on, they were sniped in the back.

If you're going to get kicked, do it with some class.

I hate it when people get on a FFA server and no one plays FFA. They just sit there and think that they have so much honorz!1one In non retarded FPS communities you try to hide if you need to type if you type at all, and when you do, you shouldn't be mad if some one accidently kills you. Walking around with your saber down is annoying for players who are trying to play because you get in the way. In most games TKing or cheating is the only real Faux Pax. Still, if people mark the server as RPG, you can always ignore it and play a different one. Still, I don't play JA MP anymore.

I've been scolded, but now kicked for laming. My laming was a 1v1 saber challenge in JO, and the other person was dumb enough to walk close enough to me that I could do the Fast Lunge as soon as we could move. He yelled at (1 of 2 people ever) so I stopped Lunging, but I did run full speed at him off the break, no matter how far back he was, and he *****ed about that, too

Apparently the three seconds of freeze time isn't enough time to get ready, you have to stand around until they light their saber so they can fight when they want to start. I say they're the one's that're laming. "Begin" means "whip it out, because I'm coming after you"

I dunno.. RPing in FPS games is pretty fun, Bill. I and a few friends did it in JK. Also notice there are maps out there that are dedicated to it. However, I hate the people who role play inside the Star Wars universe. I mean... use your imagination >=(

We started a Star Wars d20 campaign...

At the beginning, the GM said "either all Jedi or no Jedi". It was 5 to 1 for no Jedi...

Laming . . . well, is lame, but it's good when your up against n00b h0n0rz 12 yr. olds, a majority of JA MP players, unfortunately. Where did real FFA go?

I can't recall one occasion where I saw the word lamer or its varieties in Ut2k4 MP.

Yeah, laming is usually something on a server run by 12 year olds that think there is 'honour' in an FPS. Then they go on about honour in the movies and yadda yadda yadda, then theres some smart arse that points out that sith/jedi done bow to each other before trying to hack each other into little pieces.... they get banned.

Get decent skins, and a decent RP level.

Use your imagination. Get mods so you don't use lightsabres though...

Me and a friend have a huge chat system for it, and still use it, but a lot of people just use colours in JA. Since we started in JK, we just got used to have symbols and then text. Such as "text" to be a second char, ^text^ for a third, and &text& for thought. *text* is obviously action... And (text) was OOC.

If you can, pick up a copy of the old D6 version of the rulebook, by West End Games. The D6 version is a lot more fun than the D20 version.
