Everyone's favorite Science Guy is coming out with a new show, The Eyes of Nye where he tackles some more serious issues like addiction, sex, cloning, and climate change.

Link.

Am I the only one who thinks that is awesome. My dad wants to see it, but it isn't going to be showing anywhere near us :(

Thanks to PhearTheSpork for the link.

As amazing as he is, I dunno if he should talk about those things...

Why not?

Cloud, you ROCK. I haven't heard that in at least 6 years. Best theme song EVER.

He just dosen't seem the kind of person to talk about stuff like that. I mean, what's he going to have? The super condom putter on machine of science?
"Jayne, this is something the Captain has to do for himself"

"N-No it's not!"

"Oh."

They just listed sex as one of the things. I think they mean reproduction, not like hardcore Bill Nye the Sexy Guy type stuff. The scientific aspect of it. Also addiction, cloning, and climate change are mentioned. I think this show will be appropriate for most ages, just aimed more at adults.

Watching that show was homework in my 6th grade science class. We then had to write a report about it.

glyde, it's things that kids nowdays need to know about. they learn atoms and planets in science class. they dont know all about safe sex cause its touchy and some places skim over stuff.

S'called sex ed. You Americans do have sex ed... right?

Yeah, kids now adays need to know these things. You know what else they need to know? That it isn't right to swear constantly in public (at age 9), kick people in the shins, throw rocks at people, dis-obey their elders, steal, and listen to crappy modern music.

Yeah, they threw rocks at me :(

Ever notice that EVERY song made in the early ninties had that quick background scream thing? I find that hilarious. That .wav definetly brought back memories. :(

I liked the "Bill! Bill! Bill! Bill! Bill! Bill! Bill!" chanting on the theme song...

Was corny, yet damn funny...

I remember Mr. Wizard too...

:(

Now we have no one...

Now that you mentioned it, alot of theme songs in the 90's do have that background scream thing...

It's been a long time since I last heard that song. The memories...

I've been watching some of his pre-educational video stuff, back when he was Bill Nye the Sceince Guy on (Almost) LIVE!

-Lame *** show. However, we got some good people from it.

Bill Nye is hot.

What scream are you talking about? I'm not hearing it.

I met him once, too...I was at a Blue Angels air show at Lake Washington in Seattle, sitting in the VIP section. At the end, I noticed he was sitting right behind me. I guess he was trying to hide his identity, because he was wearing large sunglasses and a hat - unfortunately his hat had the "Bill Nye the Science Guy" logo on it... It didn't take long for the dispersing crowd to notice..."hey, it's the science guy!"...at which point he was ambushed by a mob of rabid fans.
