Yesterday, I was BBQing outside and I accidentally touched the hot grill (at least 490 degrees fahrenheit... aka WARM) with my left index finger as I was turning the food. I now have a nice sore spot with a big white blister to match. It hurt like f*** for about 20 minutes.

Some crazy person decided my thumb was a good place to rest a lit cigarette.

I was swordfighting today and was wacked on my left hand. They swords weren't shappened, but it still hurts to be hit with a piece of metal.
It took a while for you to find me; I was hiding in the lime tree.

I've had about 20,000 nosebleeds in the past week because I cleaned out some gutters while it was windy and didn't wear a dust mask.

one in a million.

i was sandblasting at work yesterday. there's a long stainless steel wire, 1mm in diameter, that we hold onto to ground us so we don't build up static electricity. when i pulled my hand out of the glove the wire sproinged out and sproinged around for a second and went straight into my ear.
holy **** did that hurt. straight into my ear.

Trying to pick up the mooching cat (goes into other houses and steals food from other cats, and seems to not like other cats). she never realy liked being picked up, but I tried to use the skills I learnt when picking up my cat. It did not work and I got three claw marks on my right wrist.

I accidentally partially ripped my fingernail off... It hurt like a son of a *****.

(I had to put that "accidentally" in there, because it seems whenever I tell someone they say "why did you do that?" as if I meant to)

my last injury happened about 370 days ago, but it is permanent and is a huge drain on my physical power.

got into a drunken fight with some guy thrice my size and weight.

I rugby tackled him, but he twisted my neck when he fought back.

Twisted one of my neck bones, catching a few nerves and ripping/enflaming the muscle around the bone (so said the doctors).

To this day i have shooting pains down my arms sometimes, and any heavy lifting enflames the muscles further and gives me headaches and backaches.

One stinker of an injury.

Also recently over strained my wang, but thats nothing compared with the neck problem ;) hehe

I think the last actual more serious injury I've had was 3 years ago, when I got my hand caugh in a car door. I was sitting in the front of the school van, and the side door was open. For reasons I dont remember, I reached back and pulled it shut. Somehow, I ended up with my hand caught between the door and the car frame, up to my knuckles. Didn't really hurt, surprisingly, (except when I tried to pull it out) but it tore up the skin pretty bad... not to the point that I'd need stitches or anything, thankfully. I dont get many serious injuries.
May the mass times acceleration be with you.

In December, one of my former managers managed to run my foot over with a pallet jack that was carrying a bale of cardboard. This caused a slight fracture in my little toe.

I have a reoccuring problem with my left wrist swelling up and becoming quite painful after prolonged periods of heavy lifting. Recently, my right ring finger has been doing the same thing.

Punching a rough surface long enough to cause bleeding on my knuckles

I got kneed in the balls tonight by accident in Brazilian JiuJitsu. I was wearing a cup and it still shifted when I was being tossed over.
I can't think of anything to put here right now.

My feet are full of ripped skin and blisters from doing so much walking and jogging. If I take off my socks you can see half a douzen plasters on each foot.

The most recent good (read: not lame) injury I can think of is when I was skating on some really, really crap ground and fell. Instead of just scraping my hand all the rocks tore the skin almost completely off, leaving me with an open wound and a bunch of skin hanging off of it.

And things get infected easily in India. I got a pretty bad scab that I just recently picked off (they won't go away on their own here).

Recent Minor: Just the everyday finger blisters from rowing. Gripping oar handles for long practices is not the best for the hands.

Major/Lasting: About a year and a half ago, I shattered my left femur. The strongest bone in your body. It was... well, extreme suckage. Still don't have all of my strength back. Nasty scars, too.

yeah, I get that too.

The part that sucks is that you can't do anything about it (other than to completely stop walking, which isn't practical) so you just have to learn to live with it.

A few months ago I was just walking along minding my own business when all of a sudden out of nowhere I randomly tripped over nothing and scraped my knee almost to the bone. It would scab over for over a week. There's still plenty of delicat skin there and any slight graze will reopen it .

9 months ago at work I got a severe freezer burn on a couple of my fingers. My hands were wet and one got stuck to the inside of an industrial strength freezer... I called for help and it was a minute or two before we could get my hand unstuck. I had no feeling in my fingers for about a month. :\

A door, of all things, ripped a gash across three of my right hand knuckles. Looks like I punched someone in the mouth.
If it breaks, you get to keep both pieces.

Permanent? None, really, aside from a few fractures.

Got a small scar from where I stabbed myself with a screwdriver once. Went quite deep.
Hey, Blue? I'm loving the things you do. From the very first time, the fight you fight for will always be mine.

I got thrown eight or nine feet by some metal head ******* at a show during a circle pit. When I landed, all my weight went onto my right palm which I had extended, which caused a minor fracture. I wasn't able to put weight on it for about a month afterwards. I did end up going back into the circle pit to see the next band though after getting a bit drunk, but I got punched in the jaw during that one. Just wasn't my night. Had fun though.

While moving a big 27" TV, it sorta crushed my pinky and left a small gash on the top joint right in the middle. I'm glad it didn't hurt, and required no medical attention at all, besides me licking it to clear away some of the blood. :o It stayed open for a while because of all the stuff I had to keep moving that day.

I’m fine but my girlfriend....well, after an awards night at uni we went to the after dinner party and while dancing she managed to dislocate her knee-cap, uummm, nice....

She did it before over two years ago, had to have keyhole surgery to put it right and only came out of physiotherapy one week ago...so her knee isn't exactly in the best of shape...

She’s now back on crutches with her leg in a splint so she can't bend it...
