Comparing the Easter Bunny to Santa Claus

As a kid, new years eve was full of dreams of a fat bloke riding a slay in the night sky, hard at work delivering presents to kids.

The Easter Bunny though is so totally lame. All I think about is an oversized bunny hiding eggs in a bush.

Santa Claus- A fatman that's WAY too happy stalking every single person on the planet knowing exactly where they are, what they're doing and seeing them when they're asleep.

Easter Bunny- An obvious freak of nature or the first victim of genetic engineering forever doomed to be the only bunny that has to squeeze out eggs. Who knows what other chicken parts the Easter "Bunny" might have.

Our holiday icons are so twisted it's not even funny.

However, the Fatman would totally go KFC on the Easter Bunny-Chicken.

Both the Easter Bunny and Santa Claus are in line with the devil.

You'd THINK both were started by people who wanted to distort the Christian origin of both holidays.

Oddly enough, the original "Santa Claus" was a Christian Saint.

Dunno where the Easter Bunny came from.

I believe that the Easter Bunny has something to do with rabbits and eggs being fertility symbols and this especially makes sense considering that Easter consisted of the "Rites of Spring" near the Equinox of Venus, when Pagans believed the Earth Mother was impregnated by the sun.

Many scholars believe that the legend of "Santa Claus" predates this so-called Saint Nicholas. I once read a book (Fossilized Customs) by an Etymologist (Lew White) that actually made the claim that one could trace this character all the way back to Babylon (Nimrod). So many interesting conspiracy theories in this world of ours...

I prefer the "We Need A Second Holiday With Candy" theory

Maybe we should just merge the two, and we'd have the Easter Claus, or the Santa Bunny. The marketing possibilities are endless.

Oh, the modern image of Santa Claus was created by Coca Cola initially as an ad campaign. :)

Why exactly does the Easter Bunny hide eggs in bushes? Also why does he paint them?
