New screenshots of G-Man not in the Prima Guide

I was running through HL2 when I noticed something that I hadn't in a house on the coast. It's binoculars and they zoom in onto the camp of the rebels. I looked close and saw G-Man in them. I looked in the guide and it doesn't say he was "supposed" to be in the coast. Here they are:

Anyone else found him somewhere that's not in the guide?

I don't know about the guide but that sightings really old.

Here's a good list though.

Huh? That sighting is in my Prima guide, dunno about yours. :p

Pah! Saw that without a guide on my first play-through.

Someone post one of those stupid timeline pictures to emphasize my point.

People have a bit of an inflated sense of their significance in the timeline of history.

To get back on topic, definitley interesting.

The G-Man is so interesting...I can hardly wait for HL3 to maybe get some closure.

Damn, he's worse than Indrid Cole.

-I tired downloading the demo for HL2, but that meant getting a steam installer. 3 GIGABYTES! And you NEED to be ONLINE to PLAY AT ALL. This **** should be illegal.

...

first of all, there's nothing illegal about being required to download free software in order to use other free software

secondly, i don't know how the hell it would be three gigs unless you were downloading the wrong thing... the steam installer is only 600kb, and the hl2 demo is only 750 MB. I know steam downloads and patches a lot of stuff when you first install it, but I don't see how in the world it could end up to be a total of 3 gigs

third, I'm not positive about the demo, but for the full game you only need to be online once, for maybe 10 minutes (usually less), for it to verify the game files. then you can play offline to your heart's content.

steam isn't the antichrist, even though everyone seems to portray it that way

Chapter 4: Water Hazard - Standing on the dam, before entering Black Mesa East.

YES! First time I played through Half Life 2, this was the only place where I could've sworn that I had seen him there, but could never verify it. Always thought that it had just been a figment.

EDIT: Gotta change that picture. Plus, is it just me, or are these G-Man sightings a real neat thing from Half Life? Just a fun little easter egg hunt, plus makes the G-Man bloke a bit enigmatic. Still, his sightings in Half Life 2 appear to be a bit less in-your-face than Half Life, although that could just be me. Anyone have a list of all the G-Man sightings in Half Life?
The answer is maybe.

Sorry to go ever-so-slightly off-topic once again, but I have to ask. Burrie, what the hell is this talk about you being so goddamn old? You showed me a picture of yourself some years back (holding a glass of coke that you had turned into a lightsaber), as well as a trailer for a fan-movie you were making, and you looked younger than me.

And no, I'm not old.

I SHOULDN'T BE TYPING THIS VIA THE SHIFT BUTTON BUT JUST HOLD THE CAPS BUTTON. BUT IN CONCLUSION, I AM NOT 59. I AM NOT 52. IT'S A GAG, A JOKE, A RUNNING GAG. STOP IT ALREADY!

Who needs a guide for HL2?? The game is quite linear.

If you got The Half-Life 2 Gold Package, you got the guide for free...

I swear - people slam steam now when they obviously have no experience with the software. Steam itself is not a large download - if you just download the demo...it sure as hell is not 3 GB.

Granted...my steam folder is close to 10 GB, but I have 18 games and modications in it.

I didn't like Steam at first, now I love it. I love the automatic updating - the ease of choosing mods - and just the whole deal. It's not perfect - and I see why people hate it (being online, can charge whatever they want). But no - Steam is not the antichrist.

On the topic of G-man: I liked his sightings in HL2, but it was easier in HL1 to see him. Looking at the guide, there were some instances where I just flat out missed him since I wasn't looking at this one spot for a second. His spots in HL2 seemed more hidden then the first game...

Still - I thought HL2 was a great game. Just don't expect HL3 until 2010...:) Hopefully we get Opposing Forces 2, Blue Shift 2, or something to tide us.

He's the G-Man. He doesn't die. So my expectations tell me...

All of those sightings are very routine, just a little more provocative than the first games'.

The G-Man is bulletproof in the first game. I don't imagine this changed.

the gman is bulletproof in hl1, in hl2 you simply can't harm your allies, and the gman counts as an ally apparently
Moo.

First of all, let me say, on the record, I never made any comments as to whether or not Steam is in fact the anticrhist. Though there are ample signs that the time of the beast is upon us, I do not consider myself well-versed enough in Revelations to ascertain the diabolicallity of Steam.
That said, memory may be a bit off on the 3 gig number.
The original download WAS 750 mb, but afterwards it notified me of the need to get a steam connection or some such lunacy, and it snowballed. Like a bad bisexual porn movie, it snowballed.

-I have a 9 gig hard drive. This stuff is beyond me.
