Stupid Recording Levy

So I just bought a set of 25 cds for C$9.99 and they charged me C$5.25 extra! I had ten bucks so I had to borrow money off my dad to beable to afford it. I really hate the recording levy! I mean what if I wanted to but 1000 cds, what I would have to pay C$210 for the CDS that proberlly already cost around $500. Come on, honestly. BTW does anyone know of a place that sells cds in bulk?

That's why file sharing is legal in your country.

have to agree.

they make up for the file shares by chargeing those that buy writable cds to make the albums at home (if they dont have an mp3 compatible setreo).

I dont see why the rcaa doesn't that. they would eventualy make money instead if going thriugh lawsuites as every so often you get someone who would take a littering fine to the supreme cort or even the the U.N. if they took civilian cases.

If you're from Toronto, just go to College/Spadina, and you'll find CDs there so damn cheap it's not even funny.

Yup file sharing rules. But I bought the CDs to burn some of my files and music.

Well the CDs were $9.99, and you had $10? Would there not have been GST (maybe PST) on that anyways, putting the total over 10 dollars anyways?

I had a disclaimer here, but the man said it was too long.

...If it were like that in the US I would go postal. I get all of my music off of iTunes and I would kill if I had to pay for the music and then pay a tax on writable media because some chodes decide to get it illegally.

Don't know which province you're from, but I've been buying writable CDs for awhile and I've never been charged anything extra.
The music industry is a cruel and shallow money trench where thieves and pimps run free, and good men die like dogs. There's also a negative side.

*looks out window*

Wow, the 8 bucks for a 50-pack was in an advertisement... I never knew there were cheap ones so close. I looked all over and couldn't seem to find any computer stores that had anything approaching a good deal on them.

*smacks self for buying CDs at the U of T bookstore*
