Actually, and I hate to say this because I never thought they were real, the freeipods (and freepsps, same company) actually are legit. The advertising company makes enough money off your referrals to pay for the product you just got for free and then some to make their own profit.

I tried getting a free ipod from freeipods.com; I thought it was funny how they don't tell you until AFTER you sign up that it's not available in Canada.

The Terms and Conditions on the main page of those sites tell you it isn't available in Canada.
